Thai Express Restaurant Calgary

Worst thai express experience ever, I ordered veg fried rice with tofu, I got half cooked burnt rice which was tasting bitter. I have had good experiences at the other outlets but this one really sicks. Avoid eating here.

Should have checked the reviews before! I had the shrimp pad sew, medium spice. It wasn’t spicy at all. I had to dig through the gluey noodles to retrieve the 4 or 5 shrimp. Hardly any sauce and quite tasteless. Good thing I was upsold the combo so at least I had one fresh vegetarian spring roll to enjoy for lunch. Do not recommend. Too much money for zero taste

Every time i’ve been to this specific location its never a pleasant experience compared to all the other locations both in Calgary and outside Calgary i’ve been to. Today i went there to get some takeout for their soup. I asked the cashier politely if they could make sure it’s safe for takeout. Mind you, the cook an older male, used his bare hands to touch the veggies that went directly into my bowl which is extremely unsanitary. They give me the food exact way they serve their dine in stuff, no bag, no wrapping, no nothing. I again ask the cashier politely if they can wrap the bowl or something so it doesn’t leak and the cook keeps giving me dirty look and keep gesturing for me to go away. I even asked if maybe the least they could do was tape the hole on the lid so it doesn’t leak and they didn’t. Lo and behold the soup sure did spill everywhere before i got it home. More than anything its the unsanitary environment and very impolite behaviour i’ll never return here and advise everyone not to visit there either!

Worst customer service experience

I ordered Pad Thai and they gave me Pad Sew.

We ordered 2 fried rice and 1 pad thai tonight. We paid $46.47 and not even worth it. It’s Supposed to be my kids dinner but when we got home and they tried to eat it, both of them said no taste. So, I tried it myself and yeah, no taste. Not even a little bit spicy which we ordered mild spicy and very spicy for fried rice. Very disappointed.

Easily the worst Thai Express I've ever been too. I ordered Pad Sew with extra sauce. Not only was there no extra sauce, but the cook didn't even put in the pad sew sauce. He only put in soy sauce. And when I questioned him about there not being extra sauce, he told me there was, when I knew there wasn't as I watched him make it. Also, my wife had the Thai Fried Rice and they literally put everything in the water bath - chicken, pineapple, tomatoes, it doesn't matter - it all goes into the water bath first. The cooks here literally don't care about what they are doing. They can't even take the time to cook the scrambled eggs to order.

I really love a good Thai yellow curry. In this case itbwas a packet of mushy rice with a few pieces of green pepper a carrot half cooked, too many "potatoes under cooked" and the chicken cut so thin you get maybe 1.5 table spoons of chicken. No i was seriously disappointed.

Nothing to phone home about. Got the general mango with beef for lunch on a whim, while I'm not disappointed, I definitely don't think I'll get it again. Don't think the food I got is worth 15 bucks, go to Kinjo instead they have better take out meals for half the price.

The old cook spits when he talks so watch out. He angrily yelled at me when I asked for a to go box and he did even have the decency to yell at me in english so I dont even know what his problem was. It's gross cause when he did that I saw his spit go in my food. Very gross.

If I could give a negative stars I would. I loved Thai Express but I will never be going back to this location at all. HORRIBLE customer service. I was laughed at while they did not make my food and just stared at me. I felt extremely judged at this location and I have completely changed my opinion on this restaurant. I have never had this bad of an experience at a restaurant and I am extremely upset about this. avoid this location at all costs.
