My boyfriend and I went to banquet for a quick bite and some bowling recently and had a subpar experience.We ordered the smash tacos and the deep fried pickles to eat and both of these were very underwhelming. The smash tacos, which was their food special that evening, was a burger on a taco shell with some cabbage on top, I didn’t really like them but they were cheap so this didn’t bother me all too much. The pickles, however, were not good at all. The batter was so thick and the taste was not very good, the pickles themselves were sliced so thin that it was more like we were eating breaded chips. I was really craving some yummy deep fried pickles and unfortunately these did not hit the spot.As for the bowling, it was ten dollars a person (which is fine) however the lanes are somewhat broken. The bowling balls would shoot out and not gain enough momentum so they would roll backwards and sometimes fall into the lane, which would then count for one of your bowls. We had to stop them from doing this many times, and our scores were inaccurate. I don’t take myself very seriously in terms of bowling so this isn’t that big of a deal, but I think it is worth mentioning!The live music for the evening was good but very lowkey, and the artist playing didn’t have his name displayed anywhere by the business, which I though was a bit weird.Overall it wasn’t an awful experience however for 80 dollars I don’t think I’ll make plan to return anytime soon.
