Hostess was rude at the entry of the bar. I was friendly and introduced myself as a fellow musician and paid the cover charge. It would be nice if staff would be a little friendlier and say" Hi ! Welcome to the Blues Can." I hope you enjoy the live music and thank you for paying a cover charge and supporting Live Music. Is it too much to ask for a little hospitality? Good luck.
A gem of a place, live music, lovely staff and a great atmosphere. We went twice, once for an afternoon where we sat outside and the Monday night jamming session where the house band, Virago played for about an hour then other musicians could sign up and play with them.
Having spent a lot of time watching bands in the UK in various pubs, we were surprised at the high level of musicianship. A really excellent little place with clearly a loyal following. We had a great time and felt very welcome.
