The Canadian Brewhouse (Calgary Mahogany)

Food was better then it has been in the past definitely and upgrade there are service was excellent only negatives I had was it was a lil loud from the speakers and there were leak overall very minor problems .

Went there today for dinner… the food was cold and bad the drinks were bad and the service was sub par at best. It’s a Wednesday night in a pretty busy neighborhood and the place was empty, I was a bit surprised until I experienced the food and drink. The only good thing about this place is the music!

Service was excellent and the vibes are great. Tons of TVs for all your sports watching needs. The Wagyu gyoza were delicious but the boneless wings weren’t so great. Could’ve been the night but just giving honest feedback.

So this is a review specifically of the special events they have from time to time, in this case a giant steak for $50.

It came with a very good Ceasar salad, 2 sides (I got double potatoes. I told them they could just leave the veggie side out but they went and added extra potatoes). The potatoes were solid and a very good gravy.

The only negative on the steak was it wasn't trimmed well so there was about 8-10oz of the 40 that were just pure fat and or gristle. But it was really well seasoned, was as consistently med rare as you can get with meat that big. Their Asian steak sauce absolutely rules (the cup on the bottom right).

Would do again in one of the fewer heartbeats I'd have left.

Great service. Food was lacking, donair sauce was like water. Bottom of wrap was full of water as if someone put soaking wet lettuce in it, kids pizza was good though. No drink specials for the edmonton game, but only a limited menu..completely contradicted online advertising, poor management move for a place was isn't packed for the final round.

The rooftop was nice. However the table was dusty and they never cleaned it. The waiter was kind and did a great job. The food was bland and dry. The fries were uncooked. Would have expected a better experience in this renamed restaurant.

The service was really great. The food was below average. Should have known not to order the prime rib special, it was way below average. Also cancelled the Cobb salad after waiting till everyone else was done eating. The Cobb is usually the best. Chicken tenders were great as always.

I had no expectations for our visit. We were well recieved by the server. She offered advise and was attentive. Unfortunately the food, pub food was ill prepared. Two sets of sliders were falling apart and the meat was cool. The rest of the food was eaten by hungry mouths, which helped, but the meal was not memorable. Not sure we'll be back.

I always love canadian brewhouse as they have good gluten free options for me. But weekend evenings are sooo loud. The music is blasting, and we had to yell when talking to our friends. Other than that, it is always a great place for food.

It was great going to Canadian Brewhouse. Busy as we did go on a wing night. Service was great. Food is always delicious!

The service and food was really fast, especially considering it was St Patrick's day.

My wife and I went for the 40 oz steak night on Feb 22nd and we had done the 32oz tomahawk previously which was a fantastic experience our server was great both times. the biggest issue was the Caesar salad tasted like lettuce soaked in water. And the steak I received was around 75% fat just luck of the draw I guess but certainly dampened the experience. I like fat and ate a large amount of it but that's a bit too high of a ratio even for me.

Outstanding evening. Venue was extremely busy due to the hockey game, but the servers were excellent, kept things moving and the drinks full. No complaints.
