Small portions for the price. Lamb was a bit dry and food overall was just OK. Ambience inside is definitely nice and unique. However, it’s not enough to overcome the mediocre, overpriced cuisine.

Would recommend only to have a drink or two at the bar, skip the food.

Loved everything about it. I highly recommend The Casbah.

One of our favorite restaurants in the city! Food is always consistent and service is top notch. 2nd year my 8 year old requested to go for her birthday. The moment you walk in, you are transported into Morocco. Every seat feels like a private room where you are surrounded by beautiful Moroccan lights, comfy seats and cozy ambiance.
They have reasonably priced dinner sets that include hairia soup, appetizer, salad, main and dessert.

Incredible venue, tucked away below street level on 11th Ave. Immediately transported to Morocco when we entered, followed by amazing service, great wine and tasty dishes. Had the couscous Sahara and the Casablanca tajine with a side of Moroccan bread. Food came out quick and bursting with unique flavors. Would definitely recommend and will be going back next time I need cozy comfort food.

Tried making a reservation twice!
First time the person who picked up said he didn't have his reservation book with him. Second time he said a table for 7 requires a credit card, which I was fine to leave. He said he'd send me the details but I never received anything. Sounded overly busy.

Tried out The Casbah tonight and had a great experience. The ambiance was unreal and the food was fantastic. Upgraded to the 15oz lamb shank and it did not disappoint. Highly recommended trying out this place 👍

Horrible!!!! 👎👎👎Please dont waist your time and money where it is not respected!! If zero was an option even that would be a lot for the service you get! Dont let the interior fool you!

We visited this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and drove from Medicine Hat after reading great reviews about its romantic atmosphere and excellent food.
The dishes were delicious and beautifully presented, definitely worth the trip.

The only downside was the service, which felt a bit slow and inconsistent compared to other tables. A warmer and more attentive approach would have made the evening perfect.

Overall, a lovely restaurant with amazing food, just a bit of room for improvement in service.

We had a cozy dinner at Casbah and really enjoyed the Moroccan-inspired dishes. The tagine was rich and flavorful, and the couscous was light and fluffy. The space has a warm, intimate feel with low lighting and decorative touches that give it a bit of character. Service was friendly and relaxed, which suited the vibe. It’s a good spot for a slower-paced meal with friends or a date night. Would recommend if you’re looking for something a little different from the usual downtown fare.

It has been years since I went to a Moroccan restaurant in Calgary, so I was really looking forward to trying The Casbah and we weren't disappointed at all.

As soon as you walk into the restaurant, you're transported into a world filled with the colour, ambience and smells of a Moroccan wonderland.

The Casbah invites you to relax, visit and savour the spices of their menu dishes in a way few restaurants can. The food is delicious, the portions are ample and the service is friendly and helpful if you have questions about the menu.

I would recommend reservations so you are assured of getting a table, and allow yourself time to enjoy the experience; 3 hours passed by before we realized what time it was.

Needless to say, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a fantastic time dining at the Casbah! The service was fast and the food was amazing. Our waiter was so friendly and ensured everything was perfect. We will be coming back with the whole family!
