I used to love coming here for karaoke and even had my birthday at this pub. But after my last visit, I won’t be back. I mentioned the long wait for service (about 45 minutes) when asking for my bill for my ginger ale, and instead of understanding, I was met with hostility. The server became emotional, and the bartender banned me because of it.
For context—I wasn’t drinking, I wasn’t rude or raising my voice, I simply mentioned that I had tried to order food, but the server never returned until I was ready to leave. I was also there alone, which might be why I felt ignored and then unfairly treated.
I reached out to management, but they dismissed my concerns. Really disappointing experience.

Great pub, great atmosphere and food. Jager pours the best pints of Guinness in town, no exaggeration, he should train everyone on how to pour a proper pint, easily the best pints in town and that's why we keep coming back

Really amazing service, prior to my visit I spent some time looking at the reviews. I saw some negative feedback but still chose to go ahead and see for myself. With that being said I am BEYOND GLAD I DID, from my experience with the cat and fiddle I received nothing but excellent and efficient service even tho the pub was extremely busy with a soccer game.It was evident the huge crowd was there to watch soccer but yet the staff still made me and my friends feel like priority one. The bartender was especially effective, I believe his name was Charles, he was a tall lengthy feller who was clearly swamped getting orders out but every chance he had to come check up on us he did and was beyond kind despite the massive crowd he had to serve. 10/10 for a local pub will definitely be coming for trivia next Tuesday as the bartender explained they host it weekly!

Terrible service. I booked a table two weeks in advance specifically to watch a boxing match, and they assured me it would be broadcast. However, when we arrived on time, they informed us they would be showing hockey instead. To make matters worse, it turned out they didn’t even have the necessary subscription for the boxing match. Be cautious—this place is unreliable, and their promises can’t be trusted.

I had reserved a table 11 days in advance for the Usyk-Fury boxing match. I confirmed multiple times with the bar staff that they would have the subscription to show the fight, and they assured me it would be available on the projector.
When the time came, the projector was showing a CFL game, and there was no subscription for the boxing match. The complete lack of professionalism and responsibility from the staff ruined what was supposed to be an exciting night—one I had been looking forward to for half a year.
If you care about your sports nights and don’t want them ruined by incompetence, avoid this place at all costs.
P.S. The bar rep didn’t give her name, but I’m sharing the reservation screenshot so the owner knows exactly who messed up.

Amazing food for pub fare. The bartenders have been so personable every time I've come in. They make my specialty cocktail perfectly. And the value is amazing. Not to mention the great specials every day. Phenomenal local watering hole and a great destination close to downtown for the rest of us. <3
