Decent, but small portions…they’re very tight with the vegetables on the salad

I had the chicken platter and the chicken was literally inedible, 90% of it was fatty, grisly pieces that I had to spit into a napkin. The staff were really nice.

The worst shawarma I’ve ever had. Tiny portions, meet is filled with inedible pieces of fat and grime. Complete waste of money.

Hmmm, maybe it was because I got there after the lunch rush, but I wasn’t on cloud nine.

+15 lunchtime consumer since 1995 and shawarma enthusiast. I feel like we have a new downtown shawarma champion. Fast service with a huge line up, super fresh and crisp ingredients. The chicken had great flavour and a good char and was not dried out. Many places pre cut and have the chicken sitting in a warming oven, this service was hand cutting or order so you get that off the oven grill. My normal downtown go-2’s for shawarma are Olly Fresco’s and Pita Express but this may just replace them as my new #1.

One of the few rare places in all of Calgary where the Chicken Shawarma is actually seasoned well, juicy and tastes delicious. Highly recommend the chicken here.
The Tahini, Hummus and Garlic sauces are great, and veggies are fresh.

I recently (September 2024) had Chick Pea cater an event where I had 170 hungry individuals to feed.
The food was absolutely exceptional, the cost was very reasonable and the service was awesome. I would give them higher than 5 stars if I could! These guys rock!

Falafel was a good texture but way too salty. Donair was okay, sauce could be sweeter in my opinion.

The meat roll was terrible. It wasn't meat; in fact, it was only a brown mass covered in sweet sauce inside a pita. There are no hot drinks available. Frankly, I really don't understand how this place has such a high rating on Google Maps. The meals here provide nothing but diarrhea and stomach pain. By the way, we risk eating the wrapping paper as it easily sticks to the beef roll
