It’s a divey local bar in a heritage building in an old part of town. I think the dirty duck (or some version of it) has been in this location for twenty years but it seems like it’s been there for a hundred years. The staff are great, if a bit overwhelmed, because there never seems to be enough of them for the size of the bar and how busy it can get. The food is classic pub food- filling and edible. The drinks are classic too, I had a draft cider and it was crisp and cold which was exactly what I wanted. I like the pool table and wish there were room for another one since it’s always busy/occupied. Overall a good place for a chill meal with friends.

Went there for the first time/last time tonight with my wife. We buy dinner every Friday, decided to try something new. We waited over 40min from the time we ordered before our food arrived over cooked and cold. We could tell by how warm different things were that everything was started at the same time and given to us when the last dish was ready. Very disappointing, by then we were starving so we ate what we could stomach. Also the beer (Kokanee gold) is old/stale or the lines at the bar are dirty. I couldn’t drink my beer, and I love beer!!!

Honestly it was terrible. Food was cold by the time we got it. Something was definitely wrong with the kokanee gold line. Beer tasted like garbage.

I was here a couple weeks ago for a bachelorette party and it was amazing! The waitress was incredible and the atmosphere was so fun! And they played the best throw back music! The food and drinks were very well priced yet tasted amazing! I got the cheese pizza and added mushrooms, and have been thinking about the pizza ever since! Today (a week and a half after my first time at The Dirty Duck) I called to order the same pizza for take out, and drove half an hour for it. I ate half of it in the car on the drive home. My super picky 8 year old who hates mushrooms even asked to try it because I haven’t been able to shut up about it, and even she liked it! Anytime I venture to this part of the city, I will definitely stopping by!

I've been here a few times now, and each time the service has been awesome, and the food was super tasty. Highly recommend.
My friend asked for coffee and cream and stated she typically used a lot of cream and the waitress scoffed and said “I’m not putting your cream in, this isn’t Starbucks” she wasn’t asking for the coffee to be made, she just wanted more than a couple creamers brought with her coffee. Really not necessary to speak to anyone let alone customers that way. Did not stay to eat after that so can’t speak to the food.
