Amazing little find. Lovely couple running the place. Yummy food. And awesome that we could sit on the patio with our dogs and they brought a dog water dish out for my dogs. Such an awesome place!! I highly recommend going

I had chicken pot pie and the chicken was so dry I couldn't chew it. Actually whole pie was dry.

Overall a very poor experience in both service and food.
The environment inside is filthy - both seating and bathroom.
The service is non existent- the staff seemed to be bothered to have to serve guests.
The food came out cold and under cooked and we had to send it back twice - disheartening for sure.
We ended up leaving with out eating =[
We truly hope this establishment gets their act together because it has much potential.

Bought a Groupon and went on a Tuesday afternoon so not very busy. Owners were sitting chatting at the bar. Not very friendly or personable. Ordered a couple beers, Bud light and a pint on tap. The server offered my wife a glass but when she set it on the table you could barely see through it, it was that dirty. She drank it out of the bottle. My glass of beer was no cleaner but since it had beer in it I toughed it out and drank it. Could taste that the lines needed cleaning. Ordered bangers and mash and a burger. Both were just OK. Fries were old and tasted of old cooking oil that hadn't been changed in awhile. Washroom was on par with the dirty glasses. All in all an underwhelming experience and we won't be back. Probably needs an ownership change since it appears the current ones are tired, grumpy and can't be bothered to clean the place.

We were a group visiting from Florida and the lovely bartender/server/owner was a unique and wonderful lady. We had a spectacular visit, and look forward to someday soon visiting again. Thanks for everything 😁

Truly some of the best lunch I’ve ever had. The sandwiches are fantastic and the soup was so flavourful. I felt like I was at grandmas house again. The fries were fresh and crunchy with a soft inside. The cherry blossom pudding was so perfectly sweet and hit the spot. I loved all of it. Thank you for the yummy lunch.

What a great little find. They have been around forever but in my quest for a dog friendly patio, I found them. The food was great. The service was also amazing (the family owned business is literally family run) 100% I will go back! It was a very traditional pub pub with pub look and food!

Stopped in for a pint of the dark. Love this place. Very casual but IMO the best Guiness pour in YYC. Old house converted to a great public spot. Leave your tie at the door.

Thinking we found a great little pub to have dinner and a few drinks before a concert soon disappeared.
First red flag was its Friday night and the place was empty. If you want somewhere to go to watch the bartender/waiter sit with his friends and ignore you.....then Dog and Duck is for you.

After ordering hot wings as an appy and tasting my cold brew I journeyed downstairs to the restroom, beyond dirty for the occupancy this night and left my shoes sticky.
Don't get me wrong I love pubs and dive bars that have good food and cheap drinks, unfortunately this was neither.
Wings had but 5 shakes of hot sauce and had a very odd smell and taste of expired frozen chicken. My wife refused to eat anymore than the 1 and a half she tried. I ate them as to not be rude hoping our steak sandwich main coarse would be better.

Being the only couple in the pub I thought getting another round wound be easy as the tender was sitting tables away but once again I was wong.
Dinner arrived and it was as I expected from this evenings experience. Steak was actually pretty good, but way to small for the 29 dollar steak sandwich special, brown wonderbread with garlic salt is not garlic bread.
Very disappointed in everything I thought this place would be. It has potential but needs alot changes to make it even decent for the price they are charging.
Makes sense why they are dead on a Friday night. I really do hope they can fix things here because it is a really nice pub in a good location that feels like home. Just to bad it completely sucks.
I would never recommend this place to even people I don't like. That's how bad it is.

Walking out after paying over $130
bucks for our evening made me sick to my stomach, could also have been the wings tho.
Wendys and a few cold brews at a park is a far better option than going here.
Also had we gotten service when we arrived we could have gotten the happy hour price for rotten chicken wings, and not the ridiculously over priced wings. ( every item on menu is overpriced )

I truly hope they read this and straiten shit out because it would be a shame to loose such a cool pub like this.

Checked this place out on a whim for lunch. Somewhere new. It’s pretty much what you would expect from a pub. The atmosphere reminded me of my Grandmothers house. It was really eclectic and fun. I could see this spot being a fun time on a Friday or Saturday night.
The food was good. The portions appeared to be a little small, but once we started eating it was the perfect amount. I couldn’t finish my fries.
The service was fine. The gentleman working was polite, and accommodating.
I gave 4 stars for the overall rating because my drinking glass was absolutely filthy. I didn’t ask for a new glass as I had read some other reviews where people had said the manager was rude. This was my mistake.. I should have asked regardless.
