Very disappointed with our experience.

My husband and I saw the many great reviews of this place so we decided to give it a try on a Saturday afternoon. We saw that the prices were pretty moderate and so we decided to share an appetizer and an entree since we didn’t know what the food would be like.

When the waiter came to our table and we placed our order he told us that we were not allowed to share our food and that we needed to order more. When we told him we did not want to order more, he took the menus out of our hands and told us to leave. He told us that if that is all we wanted to order we had to leave. We were so shocked that this was happenings so we just quietly started walking away. He yelled across the restaurant as we walked out that if that’s what we wanted that we could go to McDonalds to get their crap food.

Now that I have spent some time looking through the lower-rated reviews, I realize this is a common experience for people.

I cannot speak for the food (because we got kicked out before we could even eat) but the customer service was very disappointing. We were trying to support local but it seems like they have a very specific idea of who can and can’t buy their food.

Great food! The owner is very nice too. I had the roast lamb and my daughter had chicken Souvlaki. Top notch Greek food. We will be back.

The Greek Corner is a small, family-run restaurant, whose owners have clearly poured their hearts and souls into every plate that leaves the kitchen. We had the calamari, spanakopita, chicken skewers, saganaki, and the bifteki, and everything had the quality of a homemade meal. The wait times are a little long, but it makes sense when there’s only two people working. Settle in with a glass of their house red, and let the experience of being welcomed home wash over you. Make sure you go early, because they ran out of food around 7 o’clock, and I’d definitely recommend making a reservation just to be safe. Overall, the Greek Corner is a comforting and delicious experience that anyone coming to Calgary should have.

This is a gem!!! It’s a family run restaurant. The atmosphere makes me feel as though I was invited into a Greek family’s home for dinner. The food is wonderful and the owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming.

We accidentally stumbled upon The Greek Corner when we were in town. It is, hands down, nothing short of absolutely incredible. The owner was more than happy to help us navigate the menu and make recommendations as we weren't familiar with Greek food, and he was a joy to speak with. The food was simply fantastic. The meat was tender; everything was extremely flavorful. We had a platter for 2, and between three of us, had leftovers to take back with us. 10/10 would recommend eating here!

The rice and potatoes were very good. The peas and their sauce were also very good. The lamb meat just came off the bone, very delicious. The baklava was very good and we tried the ekmek kataifi for the first time which was very delicious too.

The intimate atmosphere, paired with the fun Mediterranean decor, creates the perfect dining experience. Parking was convenient, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a true taste of Greece!

Parking: Free parking located out front including a large accessible spot by the ramp.

Wheelchair accessibility: We had a little trouble navigating the entrance with the wheelchair, but it was okay with help. We had no issues at the table with the wheelchair, but it was a little tight getting to the back for the washroom. But the washroom was accessible and the wheelchair fit in the room. Would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone who uses a mobility device.
