This is not our first visit to The Highwood. The food is always consistently delicious and the service is outstanding. We will return.

You get served by aspiring chefs and restauranteurs. Food is amazing. Prices are reasonable and overall they provide top-notch service. Highly recommend. 5 Star ⭐️

Great quality, and so cool to be part of the SAIT students' training experience. Will come back for sure!

This was our first time at the Highwood and we really enjoyed it. Everything was perfect, although I'm not sure I'd get the duck again. The bread and seasoned butter was good value, the squash soup was phenomenal. The roasted veggies we excellent. My hubby really enjoyed the lamb. The desserts were all great but I liked the mango the most. They even brought my son a lovely treat for his birthday. We will definitely return!

Our experience at the Highwood was amazing! They made our specialty drinks at the table, the appetizers, the main meal and the desserts were the best we've had in a long time. Murray, Roy and Franz were all fantastic to us. We felt very special. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Wonderful experience in their new pop up location on 3rd floor. Amazing food that the students prepare . Lounge downstairs also a nice idea. Enjoyed Wellington and surf and turf meals. Dessert are to die for

Small menu but excited beyond expectations. The students definitely are under great instruction. My lobster pasta feature was something from a dream. Usually lobster pasta is a weird fishy heavily creamy sauce with a couple pieces of lobster and way too much pasta. This was something else. Beautifully executed chunks of lobster in presentation with the perfect richness of sauce🤤My mom's lamb was so well done it was melting in my mouth when I tried a bite. Her potato side was also to die for. Happy to support in the culinary profession! But this felt like a privilege.

The location has moved—poor signage and directions to find the new location. Food was as expected, decent value/cost. Drink menu was very limited and ran out of the ingredients for the feature cocktail. The student waiter seemed to lack some knowledge of the menu items and ingredients, and was unable to answer some questions about it (and did not come back with answers). The start of the service seemed a bit rushed; table service was better as the meal progressed. We have had better experiences here in the past, but overall the food was good.

It's not fair to rate here because they are now only the temporary venue. But some areas can be improved. 1) They should set up a proper table for 5 but not a table for 10 which is too big for us. 2) The room temperature is 27.5 which is too hot for dining. 3) The bar should have a portable coffee machine to provide quality coffee to guest. 4) The beverage menu is too limited and some items even are not ready yet although it is a temporary bar. 5) The price should be 10% lower overall in order to attract more guests to come considering it's a temporary restaurant. 6) Last but not the least, it was my guest birthday and server just serve the petit four to her. It's embarrassing and better not to do anything. Having said that, the server tried to provide good service to us last night and he's qualified at learning stage.

This is a teaching “classroom” in the Culinary Arts program at SAIT. We love to eat there, the food is excellent and the service attentive. On this occasion we were in a temporary dining room while the building was being renovated. The usual quality experience was unaffected. We look forward to seeing and dining in the newly renovated Highwood dining room.

An enjoyable experience in this unique student run restaurant. Great staff, food and really good value. We would visit again!

Despite their temporary relocation to a ‘pop-up location', the Highwood did not disappoint. Food was wonderful, service was attentive, value was incredible and lunch was most enjoyable. Supervision was excellent and the birthday card signed by all the staff was a lovely touch. Highwood remains one of the best value dining experiences in Calgary. We will be back!

More people need to check Highwood out. This is such a great program at SAIT and if you're looking for really good food without spending a ton of money this is where you should go. Please be patient with the servers as they are all learning and sometimes there is a language barrier. We can't wait to go back.
