Good and consistent. Probably the best keg in the city for getting steak done properly.

Classic Keg experience. They are very consistent. My only complaint is that they don't mess up my steak and therefore I never get a complimentary steak or dessert.Kid-friendliness: Great kids' menu to boot.
Recommended dishes: Billy Miner Pie, Iceberg Wedge

I’ve been going to the Keg for over 20 years. Mostly downtown and 1-2 time a year at the 130th location, and recently In Toronto and Mississauga about once a month. I go because I know I get a good cut, cooked perfectly, and really exceptional service. This evening it was no exception except for the steak. I ordered my usual peppercorn New York except the steak was razor thin. It was like the goal was to take up more real estate on the plate than give me a proper cut.I sent it back and they cooked up another which according to the manager, said this was the thickest New York they could find. Here’s the picture of their second attempt. I was given a line about seasonality blah blah blah. Listen, I see my rancher every year and pick out my cow, and then have it taken to my butcher to have it cut just how I like it. I’m not a beef expert, but I know enough. I can go to Costco, or Sobey’s or even superstore and can’t find a striploin this thin.I feel bad for the exceptional career wait staff who have to serve it, the chef who is forced to cook it, and the manager who has to justify it.I’ll pay for a good cut, but give me a good cut. Whoever at the Keg HQ who pushed this through should be fired. Your staff is exceptional. But the meals you serve are your cornerstone.

As this was the first time out since being diagnosed as celiac, I was quite nervous. Upon notifying the server that I was celiac, every measure was taken to make sure that my meal was gluten free and there was no cross contamination. We were also celebrating my son's birthday, and our server took extra care to make sure he was happy!! It was a very good night out!Dietary restrictions: Every effort was made to accommodate my dietary restrictions ( celiac). They seemed to have a very thorough knowledge of my limitations, and made sure that no cross contamination occurred.Kid-friendliness: The server and front of house staff were great with my boys, very engaging and considerate.

We haven't treated ourselves out in a long time and we decided on The Keg. Our steaks and prime rib were awesome and so was our appetizers. Our waitress was awesome!

The service was excellent...the food was mediocre...the shrimp & scallops had virtually no flavour...we had the cheesecake for dessert & the coulis that was slopped on top was very sour...it was a very disappointing meal for the price we

We usually like to come here for special occasions. We tried the bone marrow that was on special, and ordered the steak oscar as well. The bone marrow was unique, and tasted great when spread on some bread. Definitely something new you might want to consider if you're looking for something different to start your meal. At the end of the meal we got a free dessert because we had a birthday in our group as well, which was a nice surprise!

The best Keg location in Calgary. It never fails to impress.Parking: Limited amount of spots for parking.
Food was good, server was fantastic, atmosphere was like that of a McDonald's restaurant at lunchtime. Overcrowded tables and bankettes, cutlery and food on the floor, loud, noisy, full of families with young kids, and it was a 6pm reservation. The atmosphere was horrible for a fine dining experience, the worst of every keg restaurant I have been to. The amount of mess on the floor on the way to my table was beyond believable. Sadly, won't return to this location despite the excellent service.
