The Last Straw Ale House

I was very disappointed with my experience at this establishment. My fiancé and I came in for dinner, but our server refused to let us order anything because I didn’t have my ID. She claimed it was required due to the presence of slot machines, even though we weren’t ordering alcohol — just food. We’re both in our thirties and clearly look well over 21. During a previous visit, no one checked our IDs, so I had no reason to expect an issue this time. We live nearby and had hoped this could become a regular dinner spot, but after this experience, I no longer feel comfortable returning. I couldn't help but feel unfairly judged by the server, as if she made assumptions about us based on appearance, which was incredibly disappointing.

First time visiting this pub as we don't live in the area. Service was very good. I had the taco salad and it was delicious.

Walked over for a drink with an old friend. Lovely pub style inside but a bit loud so we sat out on the patio to enjoy a bottle of wine, cheesecake and a much needed catch up.

Wing night.. $5.9/10.. The atmosphere inside was good and the taste of Haze IPA draft was good. But the taste of wing was just like that..

I come here alot..the beer is a fair price but the wings have always been small and dry tasteles. Im Hoping the new wings are here to stay... delicious

Food is always delicious! Love all of their fries - waffle fries, truffle parm fries and sweet potato fries are all top notch. The wing flavour menu is extensive and delicious. We love the pizza too however the sauce is too “spicy” for the kids.

The drinks always seem weak/ or watered down but taste good. Service can be slow at times even if not terribly busy. A good neighbourhood pub choice!

Place has gone down hill recently........had the fish and ships it's Frozen commercially produced garbage extremey stingy with the chips. They served battered chips instead of actually using real potatoes.
. Wings are mediocre....... my buddy had the schnitzel and we are pretty sure they deep fried it instead of PAN FRYING IT IN BUTTER. We won't be going back.

It was great, went for the Oilers game and stayed for the steak sandwich. Which was not tough and perfectly cooked.
