The food was quality, as to be expected. Some of the touches were from packages but nice nonetheless. The lobster bisque was lobster tomato bisque and frankly I could not differentiate from a plain, scratch-made tomato soup. The salmon was well managed for Winter in Canada. The touch of sauces with the beef was more like a garnish and could have been more generous. And, with defined tips, the service was sparse. We ran out of our drinks and water. Still, the servers were bustling...
The meal we experienced was good. Could have enjoyed it a little better if we had some heat where we were seated. Drafty and cold. Service was just ok. Ordered a glass of wine each when our entree arrived and didn't get it till we were through eating. All in all , with a twenty percent gratuity expected, I would rate the overall experience as a six out of ten.
Lougheed House was a lovely spot for a Valentine's dinner and we couldn't have been more pleased with it. The food was not super adventurous, but the choices all sounded great and our dishes were delicious.
