The Saras Restaurant (Gujarati)

We went for breakfast on Saturday. The restaurant was super busy, but the guy told us the wait time and got our food out even faster than he said. We had sev khamni, oil locho, nylon khaman, usal paav, and surti dhokla. Everything tasted authentic and amazing, especially the sev khamni! The guy at the counter was really friendly and even gave my nieces free fruit juice. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for authentic Gujrati taste.

Along with food their hospitality is inspiring and the place is so adorable to explore.
I can't compare the food with any other places, it's really extraordinary and flavorful.
Whenever we have a craving of snacking despite of location we travel all the way from Edmonton to fulfill our taste of toung.

Amazing Gujarati food and great service!
I had a fantastic experience at Saras Restaurant. The authentic Gujarati dishes were full of flavor and cooked perfectly — especially the dhokla, khaman, and masala locho. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the whole meal even better. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. This has quickly become one of my favourite places for vegetarian Indian food in Calgary. Highly recommend! 🙌

The food tastes fresh and feels like home-style Gujarati food. Everything was well cooked and full of flavor. The staff is polite and service is good. The place is clean and comfortable. If you like simple, tasty vegetarian food, this is a great place to visit. I would definitely go again.

The food is incredible, however the location could make you question things. Just step in and try their Kachori, Locho, Dhokla!!

Really great food! Owners were helpful with suggestions. Loved the sev khamani and surati patties. Really? A fresh new taste that my wife and I both very enjoyed.

Very nice Gujarati food place! Prices reasonable! Sev khamani and surati pettis were very good! Best I have ever had! Chutney was also fresh and unique. Not premade same taste as all other Indian restaurants! Great place to have lunch. We also got takeout for our parents and they loved it!

I love this place. I love surti petis and locho. That’s their speciality and one must try that. Other things are average. I tried khamani but it was average. I gave 4 star because it is taking so much time to make it. We waited for almost 25 min to get 2 times.

This restaurant is a must visit place. Super delicious food and snacks at a very reasonable price. The owner is a most humble guy I have ever met. I jist randomly google to find out a veg resatuarant and after eating here it becomes one of my favourite eatery spots.
