One of my go-to spots in Calgary. Good vibes, solid food, and the staff is always chill. Great place to hang out with friends or just grab a drink and relax. Never had a bad time here.
My favourite bar in Calgary- a welcoming and casual atmosphere, with great food and drink, staff that clearly love their job, and a clientele that love this place too. The Ship and Anchor is a Calgary legend, especially if you love punk rock, divey bars that are clean, and a solid community presence. I love to visit for Punk Rock Bingo night, but also just to enjoy the patio when the weather is nice. It’s always my first thought of where to go when we’re going out.

Second of all, lots of their menu items are gluten free and dairy free. Plus their menu is clearly marked.
Special mention…the fish and chips, the calamari and the tuna pole bowl were top notch. Highly recommend.
Worth knowing…..smoking happens within distance of the patio. Not great if you want to avoid smoke smell.
