Where to start? I understand that Wednesday nights are busy, but the hostess was unfriendly and borderline rude. Once seated, we were immediately informed that an 18% gratuity would be added to the bill for groups over six.

The service was awful—we had to ask multiple times for drinks, and our food arrived in a disorganized manner. Meanwhile, the staff stood around chatting while I struggled to get their attention. That forced tip felt completely undeserved.

Although the food was good, and I really enjoyed the curry wings, the service left a bad impression, making me unlikely to return.

Wing night is affordable and delicious, either then that service was a bit slow even though a lot of the pub was cleared out. Overall not a terrible experience would go again.

Crabs and drinks on Thursday nights are the greatest. Of course if you aren’t a crab person the menu is filled with other favourites to please your tastebuds. I recommend get there easily if you are a crab person as the crabs some runout do to demand! Come and enjoy the location!

I love this place. All their food is amazing.
Recently came for some drinks and food but the service was very poor. The server barely came to serve us. We had to find her in the restaurant to ask for the bill. There were about 8 tables as well it wasn’t super busy.

Finally got around to trying this place. Driven past it a million times. The place is clearly very popular based on how busy it was here. We were able to find a table thankfully.

The food was good, but I wouldn’t say it was great. For a place that calls itself a gastro pub I was expecting a more flavorful dish. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich and British chips. The sandwich was good but lacked any real flavour. I was expecting some spice or heat but it was quite bland. The chicken was tender and moist though which was good because there’s nothing worst that dry touch chicken. The chips were undercooked and lacked any seasoning. The gravy was vile.

On the plus sides the atmosphere is good, and the Guinness was poured perfectly. While I wasn’t thrilled with the dish I would certainly give the place a second chance. Perhaps in patio season though.

Came in for lunch, sat at the bar for 10 mins with no service or acknowledgement of my presence, as though I was invisible. With servers on the floor and the female manager going in and out of the bar area, I was actively ignored... Eventually walked out, I'll spend my money elsewhere that actually cares about their patrons....

There is nothing special about the Tommyfield pub. The prices and food selection are pretty average. The servers are very attentive and friendly. Don't bother to email them about anything. You will never hear back. And reviews like this one do absolutely nothing. They will be stuck in mediocrity forever. Because of this, it will never be the usual gathering spot. It will work depending on the proximity of the people you meet with.

Food was disappointing. Ordered the fish and chips. Breading was crunchy on the outside but soggy inside. Fish and tartar sauce were bland. Coleslaw was bland and boring. the steak fries were very good but only got about 10 fries. Also ordered the mini tacos. They were fine but i ordered the pineapple pork and there was no pineapple.
