I was out with a group of friends, we were all buying drinks, buying food, and tipping our servers and bartenders all night long. At the end of night I went up to the bar and wanted to order 1 last drink. After waiting at the bar for while, I finally made eye contact with the bartender and he came over and I ordered 1 beer, which I did not tip on, as I had been tipping all night long….I then walk away and start drinking my beer, then from across the bar, the bartender starts swearing at me and flipping me off… super unprofessional… I like the trop and usually have a great time but didn’t love the way I was treated at the end…

I’ve been to the trop a few times now and my experience is always about the same. The service is great, the atmosphere is always fun with live music or drag shows but the food always leaves something to be desired for me. We went for weekend brunch and the Avo toast was good, but everyone else’s dishes were mediocre. It’s fun after sports or for the shows but I’d probably eat at home, and just get drinks in the future.

When we arrived at the place we saw a name on the table and the time, I thought it was the name of the waiter who was on duty. We were never told what was reserved (it didn't say reserved) the waitress took our food and drink order, it took a long time to bring us the drinks, when she told us to get up from the table because the people who reserved the table arrived. There were no more tables available in the place and I told her to cancel the meal since she wanted us to eat standing up. When I told her that it was not a good idea to eat standing up, she started yelling at me that I had to pay for the food, I told her that I was not going to pay to eat standing up and she kept yelling at me. Terrible experience, it is not a place that takes care of its customers.

This place is sooo much fun!!!! We came after dinner for drinks and music ( unfortunately haven’t tried their food yet) but the atmosphere was absolutely amazing!!!! We had such a great time, we dance, we sing and just enjoyed the good quality music and a wonderful band.
