My mom and I came in for some lunch, we both have celiac and it was delicious! Definitely coming back for more.

My daughter has celiac disease, so whenever we find a restaurant that offers gluten-free options, we naturally gravitate toward it.

If you’ve ever had gluten-free pizza, you know it’s usually not the same as a classic, gluten-filled pie. More often than not, it resembles cardboard or lacks that satisfying crunch and texture we all crave.

We ordered two Aspen pizzas via Uber Eats—mostly because it was late and no one felt like making the drive.

With high hopes, we dove into the mouthwatering slices and were pleasantly surprised. While the crust will never fully match the original, it came impressively close. The toppings were not only incredibly fresh but genuinely delicious.

Yes, the pizza was cold by the time it arrived (thanks to the distance), and yes, it was on the pricey side for the portion size.

But I can’t fault Village Flatbread for either issue. We chose delivery knowing the risks of transit time, and gluten-free food—especially pizza—is just more expensive, no matter where you go. It’s one of those frustrating but unavoidable facts of living with dietary restrictions.

That said, this spot definitely deserves an in-store visit—I’m confident it would deliver on all flavor fronts if eaten fresh and hot.

So, if you’re like my daughter and looking for a gluten-free spot to really sink your teeth into, give this place a try—but do it in person. It deserves that kind of respect.

Hands down the best gluten free pizza in Calgary! There’s no compromise in taste or texture. The fathead crust is really good as well. We tried many different pizzas here over the years, the quality of ingredients and consistency is why we keep returning

I’ve visited only once so far only due to the fact that it’s not in my neighbourhood but we’ll definitely visit again as we love having gluten free options. We tried 2 different pizzas and the mac & cheese, it was all delicious. I loved that we were there on a beautiful fall day and we were able to enjoy our hot & delicious food at one of the tables outside. Friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff.

It's so hard to find a really good gluten free and dairy free pizza, but Village Flatbread has brought this to Calgary for us. I love getting to order this pizza and I hope to try dining there in person sometime soon.

Having celiac disease and also being vegetarian, it can be a challenge to find places i can trust to eat at, but theres always plenty of options for me here. My go to is the Kensington and Maple Ridge with beyond meat burger crumble. Best GF pizza in the city!

I live out of town and for years, I always have village pizza at least once during my visits. Just had several pizzas with some family and friends the other day, and we all ate more than we reasonably should've lol We loved everything we tried. I usually always get the Hidden Valley (and it's predecessor in previous years- it recently had a few tweaks made and was renamed), which is absolutely delicious for folks who like Mediterranean vibe pizzas. The tapenade and pesto are top notch. As a side note, about 2 week ago I tried it with the maple bbq as a dipping sauce and found the combo amazing. But during this last experience, in addition to the HV, we tried the Maple Ridge with bacon and chicken added and it was soo soo good - think it's my new favourite! My friends really enjoyed the pepperoni one as well. I will definitely be trying to squeeze in 1 more order before heading home and highly recommend to those considering it! The take & bake's are great as well.

Had the pleasure of dining at VFC a few weeks ago after walking in off the street with a friend. As someone with celiac it's so hard to find decent spots to eat, especially on short notice. When we came in we were warmly greeted by the employee (possibly also the owner?) and the pizzas were prepared quickly on the spot. Really delicious pizza, and even my friend who is not gluten free enjoyed her pizza.
The dine-in space is a little on the small side but as I think this spot functions more as a takeout restaurant so that's not really an issue. I just wish I lived closer so I could order more often!

Dietary restrictions: Great option for anyone wanting or needing to eat gluten free!
