A beautiful little restaurant with carefully chosen antiques in copper and bronze. A beautiful picture of HH Dalai Lama adorns one wall. The food is very good. What I liked was the hot n sour soup, their own in house chilli sauce, chilli chicken and fried rice. We also ordered the chilli pork and beef shaptey - with airy ting momos.

Worse food ever specially momos

I should preface this review by saying that nothing about the dining experience was bad; this is a perfectly fine Tibetan food restaurant - it's just that the food really wasn't all that amazing.

We ordered the fried beef momo dumplings and the special chow mein as well as a butter tea and a sweet Indian chai tea for about $50. The dumplings tasted pretty good, but were noticeably cold on the inside. We got the fluffy option for the dumpling - I would recommend getting the thin instead, as the pastry was quite a bit thicker than I anticipated. The chow mein was very average, not noticeably better than most cheap Chinese take out. As for the butter tea, I personally would not recommend it to someone who has never had it before. Likely it is an acquired taste, but I really did not enjoy it and found it overwhelmingly salty. I'm sure there are better options on the menu seeing as most other reviews are very positive, but due to this experience I likely will not be back.

Have spent thousands of dollars here over the years, and this is one of the best restaurants in town. I wish I still lived in Calgary so I could visit regularly like I used to. ?

I am absolutely in love with every aspect of this place. The owner and staff are super nice and put a lot of effort in the food they serve. Menu is extensive with a lot of different options that are worth trying. In terms of quality, it is one of the most consistent places I’ve been to. Along with the fantastic food, their house made chili sauce is to die for.

Small little gem in the heart of busy Kensington area. We had the momos and chilli fries to start followed by chicken chow mien , fried rice and a shrimp chilli gravy. All the food was fresh and you knew it was prepared authentically because of the wok hei . The starters were great and everything was flavourful and fresh. The chilli chicken gravy could have been better but it was still not bad. The service was warm and engaging. We really had a good time and felt welcomed . Would definitely recommend this small restaurant business if you are in Kensington Calgary .

Parking: There is street parking but because it’s located on a busy street might be difficult to find a spot during busy time. There are a few private paid parking lots around and behind the restaurant.

My husband and I have been here repeatedly and the one thing I admire from this restaurant is their food's consistency. The taste has always been the same from the first time we went until now. We just went there today with our friends! And our friends goes there with their other friends as well!! Our favorite there would be their beef momo, chicken fried rice, shaba-ley and their sweet lassi ❤️ This is one of our go-to restaurants. We love them!!

Vegetarian options: They have a lot of dishes for vegetarians because it is in their culture. Vegetarians won't have any problems in here.

Zero star for customer service!! We didn’t even get a chance to try the food as the attendant there refused to allow us to dine in. We reached there at 9:15 pm and they close at 10 pm, so according to her we were late and couldn’t finish our food before 9:50pm. I could smell the racism in air. We came from Edmonton and our friend recommended this restaurant, but our experience was very pathetic. All the restaurants allow to dine even if you go 10 minutes before closing. They could be little polite even she wanted to deny. RACISM AT ITS PEAK.
