Tokyo Station – A Hidden Gem in Calgary’s Beltline
I stumbled upon Tokyo Station during a long walk through my new neighborhood, and what a discovery! I ordered the fried pork dumplings and vegetarian spring rolls, and both were absolutely delicious—seasoned to perfection and fried in clearly fresh oil. No lingering aftertaste, which is always the giveaway for quality.
The interior is clean, minimalist, and cleverly Japanese in design—small but thoughtfully laid out, with a cozy vibe that makes you want to linger. It’s tucked into a residential stretch, which adds to its charm and makes it feel like a secret spot only locals know about.
I’m already planning to come back daily to try everything on the menu and leave a review for each dish. If you’re in Calgary and love authentic Japanese flavors with a touch of creativity, Tokyo Station is a must-visit.

I was very impressed. I bought three meals for the three of us and it came to $50 - and everyone was very full and satisfied. My only complaint is that they could stay open later.
Always love coming here for a casual dinner. We had a huge group and we were well seated and food came out timely. Ramen, takoyaki, dumplings all so good!

It was happy to find a spot where I can enjoy Japanese-style pasta at a reasonable price! Unlike the usual ramen places, this place offers pasta with a unique Japanese twist. I tried the squid ink pasta and uni pasta, and both were absolutely delicious. The karaage I ordered was okay—not the highlight—but overall, the meal was great. I’ve been back a few times since, and each visit has been just as tasty. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for something a bit different!

I ordered a takeout and waited more than 15mins and not until I asked the counter attendant hows my order and told me they just started their fryer and will take 10-20 more minutes!!! Very unprofessional! I think the team here needs more training
