Beware of the positive reviews: until around Oct 2022, this was a totally different restaurant called "Tropical Noodle". Most of the positive reviews are for that old restaurant.Delic Garden is worse. The difference is stark. This is not the 4.5 star restaurant, this is a 2 or 3 star restaurant with off-tasting food. It just tastes off.Good parking, easy to walk to, but no reason to come.

We are new to the neighborhood and figured we would try it !!! Absolutely the worst chinese food I ever had !! We had the ginger beef , salt and pepper squid and chicken chow mein. Is what we got. The ginger beef was so soggy and flavorless . Chicken chow mein had no chicken in it and was black as if it was burned. The salt and pepper squid was way over salted and the batter wouldn't stay on the pieces.I do not recommend this place!!!Way over priced ! Not good food!!

somehow google let this Chinese restaurant inherit the previous restaurant's reviews (Tropical Delight). 1 star until they can be more honest
Total was more than quoted when ordered. Low quality ingredients. Greasy. Do not order Salt and Pepper squid.
I loved this place when it was tropical delight. I had beef laksa every week there. Now this is a new place with a new name - delic garden, chinese food. I tried it twice. First time it was a soup when they just opened. it was not that great. Today I tried again, their combo - rice and black bean beef. 20$. Extremely disappointing. Could not finish it. :( Too bad. I was really hoping to have a good chinese food place in the neighborhood. I'll stick with skipthedish from ginger beef or shanghai palace. Food is way better and even with delivery charge is probably will be cheaper.

Finally I can have a fried kwe-tiao which tastes similar in my backhome. My favorite from their dishes is the fried kwetiao, the portion was decent, price fair. I try their rendang laksa too, the rendang was so good and tender, I hope the soup can be more spicy. The downside of this place is we can't dine in there, only take away. I really hope they open to dine-in in the future.
Great food. Unique and special for this area of the city.I saw an update that they were closing on Sept 28th and it implied forever. I hope this isn't true.If it is thank you for your great unique food.
All time favorite Malaysian restaurant! My family has been coming here for years. Not only do they have great food, but they have the best owners. They are super friendly, and always make time to chat.
I like spicy and asian food but am disappointed by the curry chicken and Rendang beef. The chicken is very spicy hot and bland. The beef is better but the taste is mild and nothing special about it. Also, it is expensive considering the quality and quantity of the food you get. It will be my first and last visit to this place.
The owner guy was supper friendly and answered my questions really well. They are good, especially fried rice and noodles!! Noodles in Laksa soup were a bit over cooked but other than that it was great
Restaurantji Recommends
I have eaten Malaysian food plenty of times including in Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver , KaulaLumpur , Singapore & China . This food is mediocre at this restaurant , just orderd a take out .; the Chicken Curry has too much chilli & Tumeric flavour& salty , curry is not Tumeric & chilli . For two peices of small chicken legs and Roti the item is too pricey .Roti in Malaysia is softer texture, has some sweetness , I have recently tried the Tropica restaurant in Edmonton, which is very good , so also the one in Vancouver . The Beef Redang was also not authentic.& pricey . The Noodle number 15 , oily not enough ingredients , mostly just noodle in the order . Sorry would not recommend this as a authentic malyasian restaurant. More a fast food place . I give it 2 Stars .
We ordered laksa soup, wonton soup, and no. 12. Everything so flavourful. The laksa soup: good, wish they put bigger shrimps and more seafood ? if I live here, I could order all food to try.Wonton soup: so flavourful and smell really good.No. 12: the noodle was really good and so appetizing, it has burn smell to it which is my favorite and expected when I ordered friend noodle. The soup or sauce not as tasty as the noodles ? and wish they put more seafood in it.Regardless, I will go back if I ever in Calgary in the future.
