I made a reservation for two at 6:45 p.m. last night (Super Bowl Sunday). The reservation was accepted, and I was looking forward to a nice evening out. Earlier in the day, I was contacted and asked if we could come in a bit earlier so the kitchen could close early on a Sunday. After confirming with my guest, I was happy to accommodate. Trullo's website indicates they are open Tuesday - Sunday from 4 - 9 PM. The good: Trullo is a beautiful restaurant in a quiet setting. The burrata starter was excellent—top-quality ingredients served with warm focaccia. My date had the Norcina pasta, which looked delicious and was thoroughly enjoyed. When we arrived, we were one of only two tables in the restaurant. It was very quiet, but the music was well chosen and at the perfect volume, and the space itself is lovely. The not so good: I understand the desire to close early, but despite arriving half an hour earlier than originally booked, we felt rushed throughout the meal. Everything about the experience suggested they wanted us in and out as quickly as possible. Our mains were served before the appetizer plates were cleared and we were never offered a dessert menu, after-dinner drinks, or coffee. Aside from feeling rushed, I was disappointed with my Veal Marsala. The veal was very heavily breaded and overcooked to the point of being tough. The marsala cream sauce was bland, with very little marsala flavour coming through. The linguini served alongside it was essentially buttered noodles. I understand wanting to close early for an event like the Super Bowl, but if that was the plan, reservations should not have been accepted past a certain time. The restaurant communicated well prior to our arrival, and I felt I had been accommodating by adjusting my plans. Despite that, we were still rushed through the meal, and there was no acknowledgment of our efforts to help them close early. Even a small gesture such as a complimentary cocktail or dessert would have gone a long way.

A quiet and warm spot, perfect for a date night getaway with fabulous Italian cuisine! I love the fish! The dish was original with a set of flavours that my taste buds enjoyed. The tiramisu was perfectly balanced 👌 Enjoy!

The food was very good. Portions are small. The waiter was great at the beginning but obvious he wanted us to leave to open the table up. He left the debit machine and bill on the table and did not return. We entered the amount on our own which was definitely not the norm and most ppl would not know how to do this. This is really not the way to treat your customers!!!
Our dinner last night was fabulous! The staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. The food was delicious, a great value and had nice presentation. My Mom was also so glad to be able to enjoy our Buratta appetizer with some gluten free bread and order a gluten free pasta as well. Such a great option! We will definitely be back to enjoy this community treasure again soon.
