Super grateful that this Tsujiri location is in our neighbourhood within walking distance. When we are craving dessert that isn’t overly sweet, this is the place to go.
Tsujiri’s matcha is strong, smooth, and flavourful. For years, the matcha soft serve ice cream in the waffle cone was my go-to treat - until I finally tried the houjicha (roasted matcha) soft serve - which is so incredibly delicious - making my eyes roll back into my head with pleasure. Hubby loves the houjicha soft serve in the zuzu citron float; it’s so refreshingly good! We sometimes indulge in the Tsujiri shaved ice just to mix things up. Another staple is their fresh, soft, and fluffy matcha daifuku (mochi) which is the best we have ever had - a must try.
Service is always great, and the store is clean. Ask for a stamp card when you order!

If I could pick zero stars for the drinks I would. It cost me 18$ for two drinks that ended up in the garbage. Absolutely don’t recommend. It may look good but it is the grosses matcha I’ve ever had.

we went to this place because i have been obsessed with matcha these days, and i wanted to go to as many as cafes i can find in calgary that has matcha!
my bf got the “yuzu mousse cake” that we definitely will never come back for. the flavour is so bland. we cannot taste anything on the cake except for the gel thing on the top. it tasted like an artificial strawberry, and it also felt like we were eating plastic. the texture of the cake was really dry, and had no moisture at all, which made us feel like they were getting stuck on our throat. we’ve never been to this cafe, so we thought that the cake was going to be a good portion and size, but it was way too tiny. it was atleast two bites. 1/3 of the cake, we found a piece of HAIR which was really disgusting, and disappointing. we didn’t ask for a new one because we were simply done with this cake. i don’t know what we were expecting, but i guess we had too much expectations. i recommend that people never try this. it’s overpriced for a small cake that tastes horrible.
on the other hand, i got myself the dessert parfait with the mix icecream which was so good!! we were so disappointed with the cake, but after having the let down and having the icecream, it was so good. the size was small as well. we thought it would be big because in the pictures they looked big. i have nothing else to say about mine because it was good, just an advice is the portion and the size of it!
the person who took our order was a little rude. she was not smiling at all, and when we asked about something, her attitude was telling us that she did not want to be there and she just simply wanted to take orders and serve. we were a little offended but it’s okay because the icecream was ok..
overall it was a 5/10 experience, i do not know if we will ever go back, but i will keep this place in mind if i ever want an expensive small matcha icecream. 😊

I was really looking forward to going home. The staff’s curt attitude left me feeling awkward. The blended drink I ordered was also disappointing, tasting like green tea mixed with ice water—nothing impressive at all. There was no sense of satisfaction or enjoyment. As you can see from the photo, the drink was really disappointing in terms of taste.
I don’t think I’ll be coming back here.

Really good ice cream. Their tea is quite good. The staff are friendly. The prices reflect the quality of the ingredients. Don't be put-off by people here saying it is expensive. It is NOT expensive. They don't serve bottom-tier ice cream or tea here. Quality and attention to detail are worth the price.

Absolutely love the O’Matcha Float! A great place to take friends and family on a hot Calgary summer day. Service is excellent and the decoration of the tea house feels tradition and homely. The matcha soft serve and hot drinks available are also great.
I love this place but honestly that girl couldn't even take my CASH to purchase a piece of cake because it was 10:01? Are you serious? One minute?? Your register can be close before midnight. It's understandable if I hassle you to make the cake but the cake is pre-made! Piece of advice, never say no to your customers unless it's unreasonable. Just because you close at 10pm doesn't mean you tell your customers to leave. Don't you have to clean up and close properly? Disappointing..

We came very close to closing time and they were still so nice and patient with us. Took me a while to decide what I really wanted to have.
I had the iced matcha latte and we shared a yuzu cheesecake and double fromage. Everything was so good!
