Umi Sushi Express

Disappointing when I asked them to make the Alaska roll and they barely put any salmon in it. You could tell they were cheating out on me and they stuffed it with a bunch of fake crab instead. They’re also not generous with the soy sauce I had to go up to them and ask for Soy sauce twice.

I came to this mall just to get takoyaki and milk tea. Bubble milk tea is great but the takoyaki was cut into half just to make it 8pcs. I am very disappointed. I always order on door dash and it was great but when i ordered by myself it was terrible. It was brown and nearly burnt and no flakes like in the picture. Yet it was good but paying $10 for that is a big NO NO again

The nicest people work here! The food has always been great, it's like a better Edo. Veggies taste fresh, and the meat tastes more like home cooking than most fast food places. Very very delicious, and the people make me want to come back all the time :)

Tonight(September 11/2023) I went to this location 10 mins before closing and I was treated with the utmost respect and with friendly service. I have always enjoyed their sushi deal (241) before closing as well. The bubble tea is always made to perfection too. They gave me a few extra pearls which I so appreciate. I highly recommend this place to anyone craving Japanese food & a bubble tea. I will always be a customer with a very positive and happy attitude towards this awesome restaurant in the Market Mall, in Calgary AB. Been here a few times and always go for a bento box which comes with rice, tempura veggies, 4 pieces of sushi and your choice of meat (I had the beef).They are always super friendly and quick to prepare your meal! The sushi is always good, I had a large amount of crispy sweet potato tempura and the beef was flavorful. They ask how much sauce you would like and I find for $13 you can't get a more filling meal which includes a variety of items.

I was craving sushi and decided to pop over to Umi and pick some up as they were close by. Boy was that a big mistake. This was definitely some of the worst sushi I've ever had in my entire life. The rice was mushy and had a bit of a slimy texture to it. Super gross. Ate the middle and threw out the rest. Never again.
