CLOSED July 2021. Chains on the doors. Don't rely on Google or their website. Was a decent spot when it was open (a rarity even pre-covid).

Very huge auditorium with good ventilation, next to Steven ave, where in summer there baskers, music and international foods.

Large group caveat but the experience wasn't great.Service and food weren't terrible; they were either average or just below average.Yes we were a large group, but we were almost there only people in the restaurant for lunch so this really shouldn't be an excuse. Also, I should know by now that an empty restaurant during a lunch rush is a warning sign.I had a beef dip and it was so incredibly greasy that is was truly hard to eat. I would literally squeeze it and grease would pour out. It hindered what could have been a decent sandwich. Of course, like most restaurants in this segment there was no shortage of salt. I long for the day when they teach cooks to taste their food before they send it out.I might try it again if I'm in the area (maybe it was a bad day) but I'm certainly not going to go out of my way.

Excellent place to just hang out and watch the game, or host a full blown event

Amazing Service, pretty good food.

Great place for a beer! Staff are great! I sometimes feel like Norm at Cheers!

Grey Cup Saturday, place was understaffed. Server was brand new (she told us) and was very sweet but seemed overwhelmed. We waited 1.5 hours for our food as she forgot to ring it in, proving herself right about being new. Beverages were not refilled for an hour. Super disappointed for a festive weekend, never going here for Flames games that’s for sure.

Went here after the Flames game expecting to grab a bite to eat. Ordered the Chicken fingers thinking that they were, well, chicken fingers. They were not. They were 4 chicken nuggets with some fries. Asked to talk to the manager and was told this is a very common complaint. I don't understand why they still have them on their menu. Only gave 2 stars because I had zero issue with the service from the bartender, it was only the kitchen and their misleading menu that was BS.

Went to Vagabond prior to the Flames game. I got there early, which was good, because the place filled up quickly. It is walking distance to Saddledome and has a big selection of drinks. I ordered the chicken strips and fries with a beer and it was perfect prior to the game- go Flames! If you are looking for a quick place prior to a game or want to watch the game at a bar, look no further.

Great bar. I go here every Friday with coworkers for steak sandwiches and beer. Very fair price, delicious food/beer and the staff is awesome. Highly recommend. This place is also busy af before/after games. Right by the stadium.

I don't usually write reviews but last night I was in Vagabond before the Flames game against the Oilers. I used to be a server and have nothing but respect for our waitress last night. We came in as a group of 40-50 and continued to move around after placing orders and Isabella managed to find us without any problems to deliver drinks and food. She was organized, calm and on top of everything in a shift that I know I would have probably started crying during. I highly recommend this restaurant for a place to go before flames games.

Had a fantastic experience the other night at Vagabond. We were served by the lovely, Isabella who spent a great deal of time with our table! It was our first time to Calgary so she told us all about the local activities and sites we needed to check out. Great food, great drinks, great service- would recommend.

Went in after the flames game for a quick shot at the bar and the bartender couldn't have been less pleased to be there. Didn't say hi, had to wave him down for any kind of recognition. He poured the shots and I asked if we could pay debit and he shook the machine at us as if he was already doing it. Pretty rude if you ask me, don't you want people working for you that enjoy being there or around people', that is the entire point of the service industry, to be nice and friendly to people.

Great local joint for lunch, happy hour and pregame for anything at the Saddledome- concerts, Flames, Hitmen and Roughnecks, with solid selection of local craft beer, friendly staff and owners, and live sports on all day! Take out and catering is always a hit for the family too.
