Coworker brought me here a few months ago and I have been back several times since. it's worth the travel time and the food is good enough for me to overlook my AMEX bias to still eat here :) always worth it, very friendly, just go early because it gets busy at lunch time! if they took Amex I'd probably come here every time I am downtown haha 😂

On the 2nd floor of Tenth on Fifth lives this legendary shop. I think this was the best chicken satay sub I've ever had. The pickled carrots were so bright and crispy, there was enough cilantro, and it had just enough heat. The bun might be the real star of the show, because it was so tender and perfectly toasted.

I got the special - Sate beef with beef ball noodle soup for $11.62 (in June 2024). It was great - large quantity, very flavourful, and a good amount of protein. Well worth the price, IMO. (If I didn't have such a large appetite, I could likely have had it over 2 days.) Absolutely recommend.
Kid-friendliness: In the +15 with a reasonable amount of seating. Casual atmosphere.

This is genuinely the best Vietnamese I have had in Calgary - I come with my coworkers every week and it never disappoints!
Been coming here every couple weeks for almost 2 years - great subs (but make sure to add Hoisin, they need sauce), and great vermicelli bowls. Always excellent service despite the insanity of lunch rush.
