We came to celebrate the other night and had a wonderful time! Our hostess Toni was incredibly kind and understanding (I have several food allergies) and the intimate space was perfect for a sharing meal like fondue. I would definitely recommend for a nice date night or celebration or just a change of pace.

Adorable wine bar in Killarney! Very small, and a bit tight, but very comfortable and intimate still. Amazing service, our server was lovely and shared a few wine facts with us that was super fun and she was so charming! The other gal was equally sweet and attentive. The fondue was amazing, as were the options for additional bites to dip. The real stunner was the sparkling wine we chose with the assistance of our server. Bright, crisp, sweet and a gorgeous dry finish. The perfect compliment to the rich cheese. Great spot for an intimate date night, we will definitely be back!

Wonderful hole-in-the-wall champagne and fondue experience right off Crowchild and near enough to Marda Loop and Curry Barracks. Reminiscent of a Tokyo izakaya albeit more upscale and with chill/jazz music vibes. Wonderful fondue and champagne options. This is a very small space, roughly 5 tables and with only a single host so please mind your manners and be respectful. That said the service is incredible and friendly, just be patient. Highly recommend for a cute date night/anniversary or even just a casual night out.

Checked out Varbar for the bottomless fondue. It's extremely tiny in there, only 3 tables but it's very cozy and trendy, Iove how it's decorated. If you have a bigger group, they will open earlier for you so they can accommodate your group, which is what they did for our group of 6. Which was amazing, thank you Kim!!!

The food was great but just a little pricey for me. I totally get that inflation is happening so prices have to go up but. My bill was 107 bucks. For two glasses of sparkling wine and some bread dipped in cheese with a few pickled things. Couple pieces of meat.

But it was a really fun experience!! I enjoyed it and Kim was phenomenal always making sure we had what we needed. So thanks for the wonderful afternoon!!

My friend and I came up for the bottomless fondue, and it was absolutely worth the drive up! Definitely coming back up for my birthday 🥰 Thank you again for the amazing food, the cozy environment and just an amazing evening.

Exceptional in every way. I recommend the Sunday all you can eat cheese fondue. Wonderful! We saved room for the salted caramel fondue for dessert. Outstanding restaurant, lovely / kind waitress and cozy atmosphere. We're returning for another Sunday! Thank you!

I absolutely love the atmosphere, there are only 5 spots so it's perfect for an intimate date night. When I first saw the amount of food I was concerned it wasn't going to fill up the 2 of us, but by the time we were done we were full up. The staff is super personable and friendly, and the food is delicious. If you want a tasty drink and plenty of cheese book yourself a table.

Had a great experience at Varbar for my partners birthday. Kim, the hostess was fun and knowledgeable, and provided a great experience. The food was unique for Calgary and very delicious. The location was a bit hard to find as they don't have signage up yet, but once inside it's an intimate little spot, music is loud enough that you can't really listen to the nearby tables, but not so much that you have to yell at your party. Will definitely come back here again.

Under the heading “Why didn’t I think of this??”- an amazing concept: Champagne and Fondue! This is a tiny space with a cool vibe. Was taken here for Mother’s Day lunch, and completely enjoyed our experience. Kim was very knowledgeable about the selection of champagnes by the glass, and the house fondue was smooth and flavourful. Note that it is a small space, maybe 4 tables plus two seats at the bar. But if you are looking for an intimate experience for a couple or small group, I’d highly recommend.
