In response to the person who complained about the service, I have nothing but good to say about all the staff I've met. And the vegetarian meals are very good. Each does me for 3 meals, so the price is very reasonable. Any time I'm in Calgary (140 km drive) on a Thursday, I stop in.
Love love love this cafe ❤️ their REAL pumpkin sp8ce latte is legendary! It is hands down by far, without a doubt the BEST psl around, PERIOD! If you only go there for one thing even tho the food they prepare in house is just absolute homade cozy goodness, just get the psl and you will be blown away. Keep up the fantastic work Adam and Cassy and the other amazing employees there. So glad to go to a local cafe other then a big company. One of the best local cafes I'm Calgary.
Great place
Dropped in for the second time. Hoping that the lady at the till was just having a bad day during initial visit, but to my disappointment it wasn't the case. Listen, their product is as the past reviews indicate: delicious; the lack of customer service for me however, trumps product. I'll be taking my business elsewhere...there are a number of great places in the area where I feel like I'm not an inconvenience. Maybe just put a sign on the door: customers not welcome.

Was at a backyard Louisiana BBQ themed party catered by Velvet Cafe this weekend. Adam and the team at Velvet Cafe knocked it out of the park with the ribs, succotash, coleslaw and my absolute favourite the pork and beans!! Highly recommend this local gem!
Wowza! Amazing food and such kind people. I got the vegetarian option and licked the plate!!
Their chai latte was giving!
Amazing service and great prices! I especially love the heart warming soup recipes
Really enjoyed the food and coffee. Fresh and good quality. I live a 2min walk away and would love to go more but I do find the prices high. 20$ is a bit too costly for lunch.
Cute cafe with yummy drinks. The food looked delicious, but we didn't have any this time. There is no seating in the café. It would be great if they had a chair or two for elderly or easilu fatigued people to sit on while they wait for their items to be prepared.

Very good food, and a nice spot for coffee and a snack in the summer.

I love the food here, and used to come at least once every 2 weeks, if not weekly. Their prices have always been on the higher end, but lately are high high. 20$ for a salad or just a sandwich is steep. The quality of the food is good so I definitely am happy to buy from time to time, but find due to price increases I definitely don't stop in near as much anymore. If you don't mind spending the money this place always has delicious food, I just think for lunch it's too expensive considering it's take out only too.
