Went to Vero Bistro Moderne on a double date after my girlfriend insisted it was a must-visit. It’s a small, quaint spot with a cozy vibe. Unfortunately, the drink she raved about was unavailable that night, so hopefully next time!
The surf and turf ordered by my girlfriend and her husband was very generous,definitely a large portion for two. My boyfriend had the hand made tortellini pasta, and I ordered the lamb, which was absolutely delicious, though the portion was quite small for the price point.
We were pleasantly surprised with complimentary fried zucchini appetizers before our meals, which was a nice touch. My cosmopolitan was well made, and to finish the night, the bill arrived in a beautiful little gold hand along with two bite-sized desserts, which was such a cute and thoughtful ending.
Overall, a lovely experience with great food and charm.
