It's not overwhelmingly thick. I was served a large, but I think portion could be bigger. Some peanuts we're not finely crushed, which is not a bad thing for this soup. Overall taste is pretty good =)

If you go here, don't get the sate beef noodle soup. The price is too high for the quantity you're getting, and the soup feels like they just added a bit of yellow curry peanut sauce to an ordinary broth. This is the only satay beef soup I've ever had that was YELLOW, and I was second-guessing whether I actually got the sate beef I ordered, or some strange 'curry soup'. I would've asked the waiter, but after not bringing any tea or water and forgetting the basil leaves with the bean sprouts, I didn't see him ever again.
The boba tea was similarly underwhelming, with brain-chilling chunks of near-frozen slurry sitting underneath near room-temperature milk-tea.
Overall, I wish I hadn't gone, I wish I hadn't spent nearly 30 bucks on mediocre noodle soup and an under-mixed boba tea. If I have to use the [entirely decent] nearby laundromat, I won't be going here ever again.

Hadn't been in a while. Went in, and they have made changes without changing the menu. Ordered a soup that is supposed to and used to come with basil, but it no longer does, and this is not reflected in the menu. Ordered a beef and shrimp, and it now only comes with 2 shrimp. On top of that, there was a ball of hair sitting on the counter at the till while I paid. This restaurant has definitely slipped it standards and is not worth visiting ever again.

We have been ordering from Viet West for years and we love the food! Today we had a horrible experience where we placed an order on Skip the Dishes. We ordered food at 11:20am. It has been over two hours and the food hasn't arrived so I called the restaurant. The gentleman actually yelled at me and went on about how I shouldn't be ordering from Skip the Dishes and should pick it up. He said it's not his problem and hung up on me! I understand delivery might be out of the restaurant's control but I have never been talked to like that and hung up on because I was enquiring about a food order! Perhaps the restaurant should not be on Skip the Dishes if they aren't in agreement with the percentage the company charges them?! Very disappointing and I guess I need to find a new place in the area!
