Vietnam Palace Grill & Noodle House

The spring rolls did not taste good. There was a weird taste and smell with the ingredients used. They did not taste like fresh ingredients used. Service was ok but I do not recommend the food especially not the spring rolls and not the beef dishes
. When I made a comment about it to the servers they didn’t care so I will not go back there again. Poor service, questionable cleanliness of food handling and questionable taste of some of the food items. They had promotions of free items with certain amount of money spent but not with it as still on the pricey side.

You get what you pay for I suppose? Prices are reasonable but food is very poor quality.

Meat was overcooked and mostly fat as seen in the pictures. Spring rolls were also over fried and literally falling apart. Subs seem ‘ok’. Overall not impressed. I wouldn’t believe the 5 stars. You can find better food elsewhere.

After 7 years, I have to change my review of Vietnam Palace. The food has gone down hill significantly. Overall poor quality on food. My last few Sate Pho's have been more peanuts than soup, with no spice. There is better PHO options around.

It used to be my NO. 1 go to place for Pho in Calgary but I think I’ll change my mind next time. I’m not sure about what happened but the rice noodle it self tasted really pale and it was not like this.

We ordered takeout and they messed up the entire order

I ordered 40 pieces of salad rolls in advance. This restaurant made the worst quality food ever. More than half of my salad rolls fell apart after 30 minutes platting it out. The sauce was so water. I called back to discuss my concerns (1st time ordering too) the staff were arguing back-and-forth about how that’s bullshit and there shouldn’t be anything that they can give me, and how could I expect anything less or what was I supposed to expect? BUT IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE. Unknowingly to them I could ALSO understand the language. They were speaking and heard it all on the phone and recorded it with my voice recording option on iPhone, I told them I could understand everything I heard and told them I used the voice recording while they were talking about me, they said they would have to call the manager to see what they could do and then after that, they call the manager and the manager said that they could offer me 10% back off the order. I wasn’t choked about the 10% back which is ridiculous still. I was more choked about how they thought I couldn’t understand what they were saying and so they continue to go off about me and and completely disregarded my concerns about how cheap and gross the salad rolls were.
After pointing this out, they reluctantly offered only a 10% refund. The food was bad, but the dismissive and unprofessional
service was worse. Would not recommend EVER

I have no idea how you can get a piece of package wrap plastic inside a spring roll. I'm never eating here again. No wonder why this place was shut down by AHS a while back. They obviously have not learned. This place needs to be shut down permanently.

This is the cheapest pho in Calgary, and the service and taste are good

I ordered from here through skip. First, I ordered vegetarian spring rolls and I received 1 veg and 1 pork and I don't eat pork. I ordered the grilled beef vermicelli. The beef tasted just like hamburger. Nothing about this meal tasted like vietnamese typically does. Very disappointing and not a place I would eat at again. More than half ended up in the trash.

Got food here tonight with a friend of mine. We both ordered basic, beef pho. After eating we both felt quite unwell and slowly began to feel worse over the course of the evening which turned into what can only be explained by food poisoning. Both of us had very upset stomachs and were quite ill. Both the meat and the broth were substandard - seems to be something going on behind the scenes in terms of food preparation and cleanliness that is quite alarming.
