By far, my favourite vietnamese restaurant in the whole city. The sweetest owners and wonderful family atmosphere. Excellent service, hassle-free ordering, and high quality food.

Ordered takeout, and the portions were very very small compared to the other Vietnamese places around. The food tasted alright, but barely any veggies, spring rolls were tiny, and small meat portions.

This is a nice little Vietnamese restaurant in central Calgary. I had the pho with meatballs and thought it was pretty decent. I don’t think it was the best pho I’ve ever had, but I’d definitely go again. The fried shrimp wontons weren’t the best, but I didn’t mind getting them that one time.

We bought beef pho, chicken and soring roll vermicelli, and a beef sub. Everything was surprisingly curry forward. The vermicelli was a 1/5, super small portion, chicken was dry and overcooked, and the springrolls were no better then frozen from the grocery store. For 17.50 id say this is a huge rip off.The pho was like if a curry tomyum soup met pho. It wasnt bad, but was not maybe what would be expected. The sub had good bread. But was wanting otherwise.Id save your money, drive 2 mins down center street and buy food from Rau Bistro. Better all around. And the portion size is very generous in comparison.

I ordered the House Special Beef Pho. The broth was very fragrant and flavourful. The portion was generous with lots of meat. It was definitely one of the best pho I had in town. We The accompanying tea was also fragrant. Went back the following week and had the carrot beef stew with noodles. It was very delicious as well.

The family and I decided to give this place a try after being in the area for lunch, and we are glad that we did. Vietnamese Chop Chop is a small unassuming little establishment located in an older commercial strip on Center Street. It can easily be missed, so keep an eye out, just be sure not to miss giving this place a try.The dining area is a good size, having several 4 tops and a large 8-10 in the middle and some single seats, bar top style by the window. The restaurant is bright and clean, and the staff are super nice.Menu wise, it contains a good selection of soup and dry noodle dishes, rice dishes and Vietnamese subs. The prices are fair and the portions are generous, we ordered the regular size and it was quite filling, I would imagine the XL option would be good for 2.We started with salad shrimp rolls, beef salad rolls and spring rolls. Served fresh, unlike some establishments pre make the rolls, and they become hard in the fridge. The deep fried spring rolls are also amazing, served more Chinese style in terms of size, the filling was full of flavour and the skin was very crunchy. The kids ordered the won ton noodles, beef ball noodles and the house special, while the wife and myself gave the satay soup noodles a go. The broths in the kids orders were super flavourful, you can tell that there is care put into the broth. But the satay is on another level. This is definitely one of the few Vietnamese restaurants to serve actual peanut satay. The peanut satay has a great spice level, hits of peanut with a dash of tomato and is rich and thick. It is simply amazing, and highly recommended. We topped it off with an iced Vietnamese coffee, which the owner said is different than most places. And she was right, the coffee had much nuttier hints, and still packed the trademark punch Vietnamese coffee is known for. Definitely a must try as well. The facilities are very clean and well kept, and parking is plenty in the front lot or streetside.Don't miss the opportunity to give this establishment a try, it has been one of the best Vietnamese noodle experiences we have tried in a while, and we will definitely be back for more.
