From the moment we stepped inside, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with ambient lighting and a subtle, elegant décor that made us feel instantly relaxed. We were greeted promptly and seated without delay, despite the restaurant being quite busy. The service was impeccable — friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece, both in presentation and taste. I had the duck confit, and it was cooked to perfection — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired with an incredible red wine reduction. My partner had the seafood linguine, which was loaded with fresh, perfectly cooked seafood. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on food, service, and atmosphere all at once. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite places to celebrate my birthday with my family
Awesome place. Haven't been since we moved back to Ontario 9yrs ago. Mushroom appetizer was a little different than in the past but old chef retired. It was still good but sauce thicker and too much parmesan butter mixture in the mushroom

Best Italian in town. Been here a long time a true institution. Handled our party of 14 with excellent service. Asked for a portobello mushroom cap as an appetizer

Lovely intimate restaurant with a authentic Italian menu and very attentive service, nice wine list and cocktails. Several small children were scattered at different tables and the late evening hour and close proximity of the tables made the crying and fussing quite distracting. I know the parents were doing their best and staff were working hard to accommodate them quickly.

Waitress was great. My wife had the veal parmigiana & enjoyed it. Nice sized serving. I decided on sea bass special. Fish was good but not 8 oz as I was told it would be. Side of spaghetti was small & tasted no better than mine at home. The side of asparagus was three sprigs. Great idea for a diet but pretty weak effort for $53.
I’ve been going here for the past 3 years now. Always a pleasant experience. The staff is knowledgeable of their menu and food items and extremely accommodating for dietary requests (im a vegetarian). They check on your progress through the meals consistently and kindly. Their food is always fresh. Hands down one of if not the best Italian places in Calgary. Villa Firenze provides an eclectic and romantic ambience when on a date, while ensuring comfort in group settings as well. This is a MUST TRY restaurant!

Glad to see the quality of food had not changed in the 9 yrs since we left Calgary. Our waiter Nobel was outstanding as we're the others who tended our table.
Always an enjoyable evening! The food never disappoints! Our waitress (Queen) is always very attentive and a pleasure to interact with! Highly recommend this place, it continues to be one of my favourite restaurants! ❤️

Went for my birthday dinner. Had the stuffed portobello appetizer special, and the veal gorgonzola. My hubby had one of the stuffed chicken breast options. We followed with cheesecakes for dessert - NY and the cannoli varieties. Both good. Wine was a half litre of a cab Sav and merlot blend - very nice. The waiter did an excellent job of describing dishes, etc. Wasn't my first visit here, but the last one was over 5 years ago. They hit the mark for us on everything other than my veal. The gorgonzola sauce was far off the mark in the taste department. I will go back to Marsala veal - my other favourite. IMO if they're not going to use more cheese in that gorgonzola dish, they should just take it off the menu. Maybe it would have pleased others, but I'd just eaten a properly seasoned veal gorgonzola in West Kelowna a few days earlier that was superb. That dish took me back to my first gorgonzola sampling in Piran, Slovenia - this one just did not measure up. I did not complain about the dish - no point in letting my hubby know about my didappointment. I'd picked the restaurant after all, so I cleaned my plate. But I knew I would leave feedback here for others expecting a robust taste experience - don't bother. Based on the result, I wouldn't risk the gorgonzola gnocchi either. Villa Firenze is still a great spot. Good value for your money, better than decent service, relaxing atmosphere, and overall good food too. I will go back. I just won't order that dish again, because that one thing did not meet expectations.
Very welcoming staff, the whole teams makes sure youre comfortable. Very friendly. We had the risotto and the feature mushroom appy and both were very well done. Fair prices. Will be back.
