A great place for a drink and snacks or dinner. When you are inside, it's like being back in time. Rustic atmosphere. They offer a variety of large and small plates. Some items can be ordered by the piece. This gives a small table a chance to sample more items. Great idea. Service is exceptional. Not too rush, but attentive enough. Will definitely be returning.

Early dinner on a rainy day. Fantastic tapas - especially the duck wings & bacon-wrapped dates - lovely wine, and friendly service made it an exceptional meal.

Food was mediocre. Nothing bad about it, but nothing special either, it was simply ok. Server was friendly enough, however we were never asked how everything was or offered a drink refill. Ambience is rather worn and in need of repairs. Glad we tried it, but wouldn't return.

My partner and I went for a quick happy hour drink and snack on (what I and Avenue Magazine believe is) one of the best patios in Calgary. Everything was fantastic. Edwin, our server, was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and competent. The happy hour snacks and wine were amazing. I cannot believe they can sell wine and food of that quality at such a discounted price. Specifically, we had the oysters and the duck wings. The oysters were so fresh we didn't need the mignonette sauce - although it was delicious too. We could have eaten two orders of the duck wings. The sauce was amazing. The white Bourgogne wine was also exceptional. We had plans that evening, so we could not stay for dinner. I must admit that I was quite sad to leave, so we plan to return soon for a full evening of excellent food, drink, and service. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Amazing place for tapas. Service was fantastic - can't think of a better service experience in recent memory -with tasty food. Presentation was well done prices were reasonable. Ambiance was great for meeting people and chatting. Would definitely return.

My experience here really disappointed me. Before coming in, I called to make sure that minors were allowed during the day, even though it also said that minors are always welcome on their website. Me and my two teens sat down and the server didn’t greet us at all, just asked for their IDs. I thought it was a joke at first, but he left unannounced, then came back saying “what do you want?” No hi, how’s it going, sorry about that, nothing. When the bartender served us water, I was disgusted. She put them down with her fingers on the rim of the glass for all 3 glasses. She’s lucky I’m not a health inspector because that’s a food safety violation right there. As a bartender myself, I was shocked at this, but didn’t say anything. I ordered a French 75, which was delicious, as was our other food, which was a variety of appies. At first, our server brought us all the wrong food, left it for a bit, then took it away. After almost an hour with no quality check and our plates being empty and stacked for roughly 30 minutes, the server offers to bring me the bill and brought me the wrong one.
Besides the food and drinks being good, this is probably one of the worst dining experience I’ve had. I felt so unwelcome, and did not get a thanks for coming or even so much as a greeting. The hands all over the rim of my glass I think really did it for me. This rating would’ve been lower if the food and atmosphere was matched the service, but luckily both were amazing.

Just went to the vin room, not only was the service amazing (Edwin was our server), he went above and beyond for us, the manager Mac ensured incredible service and quality. Highly recommend. Also, happy hour cocktails are unbeatable!!!!
Amazing restaurant with clearly the best sourced ingredients and wine. Love the open kitchen and atmosphere. Would recommend for any occasion as I'm sure they would not only meet but exceed all your expectations.

If you love learning about wines and trying different varietals, the vin room is perfect. You can try different 2 oz wines in a flight which is wonderful. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines they serve. We were in town for a short trip and I managed to visit twice. Would highly recommend!

It was my first time at the Vin Room, and I was impressed with the quality of the food and service. Our small party of 3 went on Sunday to take advantage of the all-day happy hour, including half-price bottles. We chose a lovely bottle of bubbles, and the manager upgraded us. I am already looking forward to going back to sample more food and wine. We had a dozen oysters to start accompanied by cocktails, followed by various appetizers and the bottle of bubbles. Great value for the money.
