We came to Vin Room Mission for happy hour on a Monday evening to celebrate our boss’s birthday who also happens to be a sommelier and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning, Amanda, our server, went above and beyond to make the night special. Even before our reservation, she reached out personally to understand how we envisioned the evening, which was such a thoughtful touch. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted, and to our surprise, Amanda had a beautifully arranged charcuterie board ready at our table to kick off the celebration. It was such a lovely and unexpected way to start the evening. Throughout the night, we explored several wines from their impressive selection, and every recommendation hit the mark. The wine menu is clearly curated with care, offering a wide variety of options for every palate. The atmosphere was cozy, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed celebration. The food was fantastic. The duck wings were a standout and a first for many of us, and they did not disappoint! All in all, it was an incredible experience thanks to Amanda’s attention to detail, the warm ambiance, and the amazing food and wine. We’ll definitely be back and recommending Vin Room Mission to friends and colleagues!

My wife and I had been to Vin Room a couple times (primarily the one in the West) and this was our first time at the Mission location. We sat on the rooftop patio which was nice. We came for the all day happy hour and the Sunday supper - which we initially didn't receive a menu for. We placed our order and food came out at a decent pace, however it was unusual having two servers both checking up on us regularly and asking the same questions, especially considering it wasn't busy. Overall, everything was fine, but not outstanding as we had previously experienced at the West location.

Went here for an early dinner/happy hour with my family. The restaurant was completely empty which wasn’t shocking given the time but when we left at 7 there was still only one other group present…
We went for tapas and drinks given the supposedly amazing happy hour. Cocktails were overpriced and mediocre even with the discount.
The food was a huge disappointment. We got a selection of many tapas hoping to be satisfied. The “halloumi skewers” were just a couple small pieces of grilled halloumi on a stick, guac tasted store bought, $2 oysters were the smallest I’ve ever seen and were flavourless, the charcuterie was 2 pieces of cheese and some salami. The bacon wrapped dates were the star of the show honestly.
Some of the party got burgers which were either undercooked or dry beyond belief. Some of us were still hungry after the tapas and so got regular priced patatas bravas (tiny drizzle of bravas sauce on dry potatoes) and crab cakes (3 loonie sized cakes for $13 on an overpowering bed of curry sauce).
The server was very nice but overall the experience was very meh. Too much money for poor quality food. Wouldn’t recommend when there are much better restaurants at similar prices.
Really good oysters on happy hour! Nice staff too, good spot to visit when coming from out of town.

We sat outside on the rooftop patio which is lovely. We did move into the lounge when the weather became unstable. No problem moving. We lounged over drinks and shareable light options and then shared some features. Met the chef Adam, who is creative and very friendly, along with our server Jason, made our evening fun. Loads of laughs, lounge environment, inside and outside options!

We went to Vin Room in Mission for their happy hour and to sit on their deck in the Summer sun. Unfortunately, the rain kept us inside. However, it didn't impact our overall experience. Their happy hour is a great deal. Our server, Jason, was amazing: knowledgeable about the food and wine, attentive without being annoying, and friendly. They have a large selection of cocktails and wines by the glass. I liked the option to make up a flight of wine by combining my choice of 2 oz glasses of a variety of whites, roses, reds and bubbly.

A great place for a drink and snacks or dinner. When you are inside, it's like being back in time. Rustic atmosphere. They offer a variety of large and small plates. Some items can be ordered by the piece. This gives a small table a chance to sample more items. Great idea. Service is exceptional. Not too rush, but attentive enough. Will definitely be returning.
