I had the best experience working with Visionary Catering (Lindsay, Ashley, and team) for our event in Calgary!
We hosted a group of about 30 and ordered the standard buffet menu. The food arrived right on time, came with plates, cutlery and utensils, and everyone I spoke to had nothing but great things to say about how delicious it was. Even though I coordinated everything remotely from Ottawa and didn’t get to try it myself, the feedback from our guests was overwhelmingly positive.
The team was responsive, accommodating, and professional. they even helped with setup and came back afterward to assist with teardown. Our event was on a Saturday, and they managed to confirm everything by Thursday on very short notice, which was a huge help. Payment and logistics were seamless thanks to their flexibility and communication.
I highly recommend Visionary Catering for any event. They made the entire process easy from start to finish!

Absolutely Fantastic - Year after Year! I’ve used Visionary Catering for three years in a row for a birthday event, and they’re truly fantastic. The food is exceptional — perfectly cooked beef, chicken, roasted veggies, mashed potatoes, rice, and salads that are amazingly fresh— everything is delicious, right down to the condiments they provide. Many of the guests repeatedly have commented on how fabulous they are. Their table settings and linens are top quality, and set performly by their team. The administrator is so easy to work with, always quick to respond and makes fabulous suggestions. I use many caterers in Calgary and Vancouver, and Visionary is by far and Visionary and the team there are simply fantastic.

Visionary Catering was incredible from start to finish! We’ve had so many guests tell us it was the best wedding meal they’ve ever had. Lindsay was amazing to work with - so easygoing, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly. He made every request happen and went above and beyond to give us helpful advice along the way, especially since it was our first time booking catering. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was flawless, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We had Visionary provide both the meal and bar services at the Cochrane RancheHouse, and their staff were incredible - so kind, attentive, and professional with all of our guests. It’s honestly the biggest compliment we’ve received about our wedding, and for good reason!!

They provide food & drinks at St Mary’s university, while the availability of these amenities is appreciated, there appears to be a persistent issue with the quality of the pastries offered. The most notable problem, is that the pastries are almost always dry.

5/5 does not meet the quality of the food Lindsay and his team delivered for our wedding. We went off menu and gave his team a new challenge of completing a 120 person plated dinner with burgers !! We did a beef burger, crispy Korean chicken burger, and a Mediterranean falafel burger (vegan). The food was amazing, portions HUGE and we received so many comments !
So thank you Lindsay and team for making our wedding dream come true !
The only thing I’d recommend to couples (and nothing wrong with visionary!), the food was SO good the cocktail hour snacks were gone !! I wouldn’t place them out as a buffet but have servers walk around with them. People loved them and took numerous quickly !
So if you are looking for a caterer for your wedding look no further !! Especially if you want to change from the tradition and have a fun twist on a wedding menu!
