The worst service ever.
I visited Waves Palliser around May, and my experience was extremely disappointing. The new girl, who was very polite, took my order correctly — I asked for a medium roast. However, the tall girl with a braid mixed dark roast with it and, instead of admitting her mistake, blamed the new joiner. It was clear that the new girl had done her part right, but the tall one completely neglected her own error. Very unprofessional and unpleasant experience.

Me and my colleagues always hit the waves and we always love to come back here. The service is very pleasant. I usually get a customized drink and Isa nails it every time. I felt like giving a review to the staff here Isa and Arshy for their continuous effort to serve us with warmth and love. Thank you and God bless you guys for your service.

Wave Coffee in Calgary was such a disappointment. The only reason I’m leaving a review this harsh is because the bad customer service was on top of food and coffee that were already below average.
I tried the seasonal pumpkin spice latte and it was just okay. Not terrible, but not something I’d ever go back for. It’s more expensive than other places, comes in a smaller size, and honestly doesn’t taste as good. I can get a better drink somewhere else for less money, so why would I come back here?
The food wasn’t much better. We got a sandwich and a croissant. The croissant had a huge air pocket in the middle and was basically hollow. The sandwich was fine, but not something you’d actually enjoy eating. It just fills you up so you aren’t hungry, not because it tastes good.
But what really made this a one-star review was the customer service. My girlfriend ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee, which is literally just coffee with sweetened condensed milk. The girl working was by herself and clearly overwhelmed while another employee seemed to be in the back on their phone. She didn’t start making our drinks until about five minutes later and then asked if the Vietnamese coffee was hot or iced. We said iced (it only comes iced) and she started making a hot one anyway. We had to correct her again. Even after verifying the order three times, we still ended up with the wrong drink. Instead of a Vietnamese iced coffee, we got a vanilla iced coffee with regular milk. I honestly don’t know how that confusion even happened because we were really clear about what we wanted.
All of this, two drinks, a sandwich, and a croissant came to almost $30. It took forever to get our order, there’s a good chance it’ll be wrong, and the food just isn’t good enough to justify the price or the wait. There are way better coffee shops around. I definitely wouldn’t recommend coming here.

Charging 7$ for an ice coffee is criminal. Have some decency.
Why does a large cappuccino cost $6 and an ice coffee cost $7? Prices never stop going up -
How is ice coffee $7?
This place has become a joke. Mid grade coffee for star bucks prices, in cups half the size.
Great little cafe with a cozy vibe and delicious coffee! The atmosphere was relaxing and perfect for a quiet break.
Had the pleasure to meet one of their servers Aksa, who was incredibly kind and friendly throughout.

Everything is made in Canada! We don't usually visit downtown much but since it was close to the central library we thought we'd pop in with our 3 and 5 year old. I got a mocha ice coffee, my husband got a coffee black and we got a strawberry smoothie for our kids. I liked the taste of my mocha ice coffee. It's a stronger taste. If you compare it to Tim Hortons that has a sweeter taste, this has a more coffee taste. My husband enjoyed his coffee and the kids cleared their smoothie. No complaints there :) There's comfy seating inside to sit and relax. It was nice to try a new coffee place from the usual. Staff were friendly to us and kids 😊. We'll be back next time we're downtown!
I am in Calgary for work and stopped in before going to the office to get coffee and breakfast. I ordered a iced vanilla oat latte, and a breakfast croissaint. ($18.03 after 15% tip)
Breakfast croissant is good (though, a little greasier than I expected), but I swear she didn't put any vanilla in my coffee and honestly the coffee isn't very good anyway (I can usually drink a quality latte without any sugar if needed).
I will definitely be trying a new place tomorrow morning.
I went in for a coffee today because it's closer than Sunterra and that's normally where I go everyday for coffee. I am not a business person and was wearing sweatpants today, because it's cold. I handed the lady at the counter a five dollar bill to pay for my coffee and she inspected it like it was a fake, she even took another 5 out of the register to compare the two, as though she didn't believe it was a legitimate 5 dollar bill. I have never been so insulted in my life. Just because I'm not wearing a suit and tie doesn't mean I don't have a few bucks for a coffee everyday. I will NEVER step foot into this coffee shop again.

Was craving a smoothie. Didn’t know they’d have them but was pleasantly surprised. I got strawberry but any flavour would’ve been excellent. So delicious, exactly what I needed.
Nice and quiet, too, on a Monday afternoon

Jilly and Emman are the best, they really make this place what it is, and honestly make the best drinks out of any baristas that have worked here.
Happy to have you guys around the corner :)
