Why are you closed, please explain? What is the reasoning to your temporary closure? Thanks
Soft opening of a Triple O in the southeast today. It’s on 52 ave at the Chevron gas bar. It’s nice to have a BC favourite locally after the closer of the White Spot on McCloud a few years ago.
If you've been to BC you have probably seen these places everywhere, sadly there are only a few in AB. The burgers at this place are so good. In general, I've always had pretty good experiences eating at White Spots, this being no exception. They aren't doing anything too crazy, not reinventing any wheels although I feel the franchise doesn't have much of running design theme, so you don't ever walk in to one and know for sure it's a White Spot... My biggest complaint about WS in general is that anything that isn't a burger has failed to impress me. I took off a star to reflect that the service I've had here over multiple visits has varried greatly in quality and consistency.
Nothing to complain about. Nothing exceptional. Higher mid-range pricing - gluten free options are available.
Always solid food every time I go. I usually get the salmon burger and my kids love grabbing the pirate packs. We love their shakes, too. What's also good are the blueberry pies. But where it falls a bit flat is the service. It's good enough but nothing special about it.
Food was fine. Nothing too impressive but tasted fine. They gave me the wrong eggs and the waffles basically toaster quality.
Food and service were ok... the fish and chips showed 2 big pieces but the ones we got were the size of chicken nuggets.. the table next to us had 2 large pieces. Fries were not fresh or hot.
Good dinners, but breakfasts could use a little more choices and there eggs are like a fluorescent orange. Can have bit of weird taste to some !
Stopped for a late lunch and the bulk of the place was now empty, but the tables that were enjoying lunch had amazing service from very attentive wait staff. Food was really good, just like I remembered it from the White Spot in Victoria. I had the Mediterranean Chicken Sandwich and hubby had the Clubhouse. Both were perfect. Not sure if we'll go back for the food or the service... Maybe both! ?
Nice interior, great tasting food and many menu options available. I grew up in Vancouver so it was a family tradition to have White Spot during special occasions. I'm glad there is a location in Calgary. I took my parents and wife here and all of our meals were really fresh, hot, and tasty. We sat in the lounge area during the CFL playoffs but we still managed to get great service, regardless of it being busier than normal. I love that they have Granville Island beer on tap. Makes me feel like I'm back in Vancouver.

Went for breakfast after a wonderful evening in Calgary. The service was excellent with a great smile. My partner had Eggs Benedict - so good. I had a spicy mexican pan egg dish... I loved it. Really got us going for the day.
Went to white spot as a kid in BC, moved to Ontario. Went to visit family in Calgary and went to this white spot! Brought back many memories and was just as good as when I was a kid! It's a classic! Highly recommend! Staff is super friendly as well!
Recently ordered a salmon spinach salad her and it was fantastic! Our waitress was really nice and the restaurant has a pleasant interior too. Definitely want to return soon to sample a number of their other tantalizing offerings on the menu!
We stopped in to celebrate my friends birthday. The restaurant was clean and well kept, and the staff were very friendly.
Always go always love...taste of home growing up in BC
