I had the absolute pleasure of dining in last night, & just like every other time, it was nothing short of amazing. The food is beyond delicious & the most authentic Schnitzel I've come across in Calgary! Honestly, I wouldn’t know what dish to recommend because everything I’ve tried, I would go back for over & over again.

By far my favorite restaurant experience I've ever had! My girlfriend and I went there for the first time yesterday for a belated birthday, and haven't been able to stop talking about how nice the dinner was for the entire next day. The hostess was the absolute kindest (even gave us two beers to take home as a birthday present!), the food was perfect not only in taste but in portion size, the beer was great, and the dessert made in house, itself flawless. I've never felt more welcome my first time trying a new place to eat. Anytime I ever need a place to celebrate, mark a special occasion, or to find delicious schnitzel just because I want it, I will 100% be going back. Couldn't recommend enough.

We were there for a birthday with a larger group. Our server was very warm and helpful. The schnitzel was delicious as always: perfectly seasoned and with a light batter. They had a really nice non-alcoholic Stiegel beer and we also got some yummy schnapps on the house. Highly recommend this restaurant!

We make it a tradition to come every year in December or January with my family and grandparents when they visit— have been doing this for about 12 years. Everything is always amazing. Food is delicious, and the service is phenomenal. Love to know that it’s a family owned business and that they continue cooking authentic delicious food.

Entered the restaurant, had a reasonable but already fore shadowing - uncomfortable and introductory chat, being from Germany myself, Bavarian Red Seal Chef etc, etc. ....this not being the point I want to make, just outlining that I am not a novice in the restaurant industry. I wanted to try their food, was excited to do so, but never got to that point. I was "informed" that one can only order the course - menu versus single items. With that in mind I took a seat. I wasn't hungry enough for several dishes/courses and asked if I could order the Gulasch soup, have a beer and decide as I go to order more or not. The owner I assume, responded verbatim: "That's not how we usually do this....". Keeping in mind I was a first time guest in that establishment. The host introducing the guest to her concept of how to order from their menu? - is the antithesis of the definition of hospitality. I kept my composure and opted for a beer in order to decide what to do next, being slightly but negatively surprised. When ordering the beverage, already emanating the probability of not ordering food - it was said once again, "that's not the way we usually do it"...reminding me / the guest...."...this is why I explained to you initially how to order from the menu - that is was suggested to share / order all courses instead of single dishes...". I got up said thank you and left the establishment. The female asked on my way out.... "What do you suggest?" I answered: definitely more flexibility especially for first time - guests. The essence of the visit there was/is: either one orders the course meal or one won't be served. Not my kind of friendly Austrian atmosphere - quite the opposite actually. I lived 17 km from the Austrian border (then) and went countless times to enjoy Austrian hospitality. This restaurant I am reviewing here has absolutely nothing to do with that. It has enormous potential, and could be one of a kind in this area but not with that approach and attitude. And if one advertises and sells Austrian Cuisine - make it and keep it so, regardless of decades spent in Northamerica. That's my professional suggestion. Good luck Wiener Schnitzel Haus!

The food was good, not exceptional. The prices are very high, in my opinion. When you open the door and step into their deep fryer, I wished I hadn't washed my hair to go there. The $18.00 half cup of spätzle still seems absurd! Decor is dated, and their chairs are extremely uncomfortable. Back was sore before we got our entrees. If they had more reasonable prices, I bet they would be busier. Was ok to go once, but we won't be back.
