I have been to many fried chicken places on Calgary but this is the very best you can find. The staff are very kind and they offered extra help to my pregnant wife. The chicken is absurdly good.

Edit Nov 17/23 - I havent been here for a bit, usually go to the north Wow Chicken so I didnt know they changed their name and some of the menu. The lady was so nice! I asked about the name change, the new food items,she let us try some things. I always get the Gang Jeong space but she also gave me the Mala Buldak sauce to try - hhhoootttttttttt! Wow, only a little and I was sweating! As she gave it to me,she said she liked that sauce....good on you lol, that's a very hot sauce! We had the mozzarella K-dog with sugar to try, that was good too! We then had our usual lunch special. Little different with having a packet of bulgogi powder but it worked, and the chicken thighs were 3 large rather then some smaller ones. All good, nothing bad to say! This always was my favorite Wow Chicken location so I'm glad they stuck around and now serve even a little more under their new name!I cannot say enough about this place except that it is named very accordingly!! Between the sauce (spicy BBQ), the breading, the chicken.... It's amazing!!! Ordered the bulgogi fries....man! Crispy and full of flavor! My only regret was that I didn't try this sooner!!

I got the lunch special plus a croquette, and it was all really good! The fries were nice and crispy, and the chicken was tender. The croquette was yummy too.

We used to frequent this location regularly as it was our favorite place for soy garlic fried chicken, but since they've separated from wow chicken we've noticed a sleady decline in quality. The chicken is as juicy as ever, but the sauce has been getting more watery and the coating thinner and less crisp.

Im sure this place was with wow chicken, i went there to buy wow chicken to be honest. Was surprised that its not wow chicken anymore. I gave a try thou and i bought meal, sorry but the food / chicken was tasteless not even crunchy. So its a no for me. They also have the corndog which is not for me as well.
Fries were fresh but the shake powder was given in a small pack and not already mixed in. The bulgogi flavour wasn’t very strong. A tad expensive.

So good to be my most favorite chicken place. Mara hot sauce is one of the best tasteful sauce I've ever tried for fried chicken. Not only K-fried chicken is tasty but have to try K-hotdog also so tasty.Chicken Avenue...um... sound so good^^!

Slightly disappointed. The chickens were quite bland. Maybe I didn't order the right thing??? Make sure you get some dressing.
