Zet runs an amazing bubble tea, dessert, and board game café. I had the pleasure of stumbling upon his establishment when we stopped by for an alumni meetup. The fresh fruit drinks with pearls were really good — I especially enjoyed how chewy and sweet the tapioca pearls were, and they were reasonably priced. I’m thrilled to support local businesses, and I spent many hours here fidgeting with and trying to figure out his mechanical puzzles. Thanks for the hospitality!

Chocolate Bingsu is the best. Try this shaved ice and you will get addicted.

Cozy atmosphere, exceptional staff and lovely Boba, it was an overall enjoyable experience. Highly recommend, especially for a nice games night.

I came from Vancouver to visit and was excited to try this place, but unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Y Not Today Bingsu has a policy requiring each person to spend a minimum of $6 to play board games. Our group of 3 ordered one bingsu for $15 and I also left a $3 tip, thinking that was fair and met the requirement. About 10 minutes into our game, a staff member told us we could not play because the dessert was only $15 and did not meet the $6 per person minimum (tip didn’t count).

What made it even more uncomfortable was that a man who seemed to be the owner/manager stood behind the counter the whole time, observing each table as if checking whether people had spent enough to play. It felt very strange, unwelcoming, and rude.

I’ve never been to a café where you’re forced to spend a minimum just to play board games, and the way it was handled left a very negative impression. I wasn’t refusing to pay — I simply thought I had already met the requirement. Instead of making us feel welcome as first-time visitors, we were told to stop playing or we need to buy another drink??

The strict policy is already unusual, but the way it was enforced made the experience even worse. I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for a friendly and relaxing spot.

I’m not sure if many people realize this, but they make the flavour of bingsu into ice, then shave the ice. Most places make plain ice, then add flavouring. You can tell because the ice is pink/coloured. Whereas other places, it’s just white plain ice with sauce/syrup. I haven’t found a place like this since some of my favourite dessert places closed down.

At first, I thought it was a little pricey, but this takes so much work and prep, and it shouldn’t go unnoticed! It’s a noticeably different taste and I very much prefer it this way!

Staff were very friendly and the board games and puzzles is a nice touch, such a great environment!!

Excellent service. The girl taking my order was very knowledgeable of what goes into my order and was accommodating to my allergies. :)

Absolutely lovely spot!! I had the matcha boba, injeolmi croffle, and mango bingsu, and it was all so fresh and DELICIOUS, plus the flavor combinations are fantastic. (I'd never had a croffle with boba on it before, so good!) The guy working there was so warm and welcoming too! I love that inside is spacious with big tables for playing their amazing board game selection -- they had several of my favourite games, plus some great metal interlocking puzzles as well. Between the board games and their various events like karaoke and paint nights, they seem really focused on creating a truly communal space in addition to providing delicious food, and I admire that. There are only two things I'd change, and neither one is within their control: 1) I'd love an outdoor area since I had my dog with me and I could've stayed longer that way, but physically that's impossible, and 2) I wish they were closer to me so I could come by all the time!!! That said, the roses kept me smiling the entire 3 hr drive back home. :) I'm definitely making this a staple on every trip to Calgary from now on!

A truly great cafe! My husband and I go most weeks for their board game events.

Tasty drinks - we have a few favorites.

The absolute best part is the boardgame community being built here! A large variety of games (both at the store and brought in), plenty of regulars, and a welcoming atmosphere! The owner has put in a lot of work to build a fantastic community! So glad we found out about this place!

Location wise it's very friendly from 39 ave c-train station. The interior is comfortable and the drinks I ordered is not too bad. Will return for sure.

We came with a large group pretty late at night and the lady working was very nice and accommodating to us. My drink was a mango smoothie which was good but a little bit sweet (I asked for 25% sugar).

There is a wide selection of games to play. Seems like a nice and chill place to hang out

Minimum $6 purchase per person if you want to play the games
