Went for Sunday brunch but ordered off the menu. Food was cold and some of felt like they took it from the buffet. Out server was super busy and did as much as she could. Overall was ok but wouldn't be in a rush to go back

we went for the brunch buffet this morning and arrived around 1:10–1:15 PM.. despite it being close to the end of service, we were still welcomed and seated, and the server told us we could begin getting food after ordering drinks.

We were dining with a 1-year-old, so I stayed behind to settle him while my parents and daughter went to the buffet first. They started at the end of the buffet (breads, charcuterie, fruit cups), which at the time looked full and well-presented.
By the time it was my turn.. just a few minutes later, after getting my son into his high chair, the buffet was almost completely empty..

From the start of the buffet:
Coq au vin was empty
Eggs Benedict had only two pieces left (one missing the egg entirely)
Croque monsieur had two quarter-sized pieces
Only three pieces of French toast remained
Scrambled eggs were dried scraps
Sausages and toast looked tossed together carelessly

The only items that still looked acceptable were the broccoli cheddar soup, zucchini with tomato, potatoes, charcuterie, bread section, and fruit cups, though even the fruit cups ran out shortly after, and when we asked, we were told there were none left (despite very few guests remaining, which we could clearly see as we were seated beside the buffet)..

the dessert section was also empty, and only after that were a few cookies and small pink mousse-style cakes brought out.

I understand we arrived near the end of buffet service, and we were not expecting everything to be fully stocked. however, if guests are still being accepted and charged full price, the experience should still be reasonably comparable to earlier seatings or at the very least, guests should be informed upfront of limited availability or offered alternatives (such as small kitchen batches) right away not after we make do of what's left there..

We paid the same price as everyone else, plus tip.. Letting guests in knowing there is very little left to offer is very disappointing.. with better communication and planning, this could have been handled much better..

Tassie took amazing care of us. The buffet was amazing, tasteful and curated. Cant wait to come back.

If you want to make your holiday dinner truly awful, this is the place. This was, without exaggeration, the worst Christmas Day dining experience I’ve ever had.
I made a reservation well in advance for two people and confirmed it by text at 4:52 PM on Christmas Day. Despite this, our reservation was canceled with no explanation, no call, and no message.
When we arrived, no one was at the entrance. We went inside to ask for assistance and were told to wait outside because our reservation was for the restaurant, not the lounge. After waiting again, a staff member appeared — only to walk us into the lounge anyway, without explanation. I overheard her say to another employee, “Oh, that’s the table I told you about.”
We were seated at a high-top table directly at the entrance, despite the lounge not being busy and many proper tables being available. No explanation. No apology. The seating made the experience worse — I had to stand multiple times just to retrieve my napkin after it fell.
Service was extremely slow. Our server took a long time to acknowledge us, despite serving only one other table. We were not able order wine before food.
The Christmas buffet was very poor. Charcuterie had clearly been left uncovered for hours — cheese dried out and salami greasy. Protein options were extremely limited. Hot dishes included dry turkey, completely under-seasoned roast beef (adding salt didn’t help), and poorly cooked cod. Seafood was the only acceptable part, but limited and inconsistently seasoned.
The buffet setup was badly designed, with hot-dish lids having nowhere to be placed, forcing guests to juggle plates and lids. Desserts looked appealing but were already dry, and the same tongs were used for multiple items.
One particularly uncomfortable moment: our table centerpiece was not lit while others were. When my husband tried to turn it on, a staff member stopped him and told us not to touch it because it was rented, speaking to us in a condescending manner.
Between the unexplained reservation cancellation, being moved without consent, poor seating, slow service, low food quality, disorganized buffet logistics, and staff attitude, the experience was a complete failure. The price was not justified.

After management encouraged us to give the restaurant a second chance, we returned for the brunch buffet, which was noticeably better, though still with room for improvement.
Eggs Benedict were good 🍳 The yolks were a deep yellow-orange, indicating quality eggs. The carrot-cake-style French toast was very good and unique, likely made with a specialty bread not commonly available in stores. Waffles, however, were not worth trying.
Protein options at brunch were limited. Bacon & sausages were fine, but overall selection was weak for a $36 buffet. At this price point, additional protein choices would be expected.
An egg-to-order station would significantly improve the brunch offering. Comparable hotels, such as Hilton Downtown Toronto, provide made-to-order egg stations and a broader selection for a similar price.

Conclusion: The restaurant itself is visually appealing, but it appears poorly suited for high-pressure holiday service. It may be pretty good for a regular brunch or dinner, but I would strongly advise avoiding it for special occasions.

Hadn’t been here in years. Brought a client for lunch. It was dead which is a shame. We split the truffle fries. For $10 you get a decent amount (earls is $15 for less fries)! She had the French onion soup and I had the sourdough pizza with sausage and peppers. Great food. Pizza is a tad bit thicker and smaller in diameter but taste was great as was texture of crust.

Huge thank you to our server John. It is rare to get real customer service these days. He definitely went above and beyond for us. The food was good. The only thing id suggest would be less cabbage more carrots in the thai salad.

To be honest, going to brunch and paying $36 for scrambled powdered eggs and frozen potatoes is not acceptable, not fresh juice. That’s the kind of food I can make at home, and the reason I go out is because I want fresh ingredients.
If this were a hotel breakfast included with a stay, I would completely understand. But for a separate brunch reservation, it’s not reasonable.
The décor is cute and the service is okay, which is why I’m giving it 2 stars. That said, I wouldn’t go back. I don’t buy or eat that kind of food, and I don’t expect it when dining out.

Great space with nice decor. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food options were good, as there was a good variety. The eggs benny English muffins were overcooked, and too tough to eat but perhaps we should expect that going to a buffet as the food sits out. That said, the eggs were fantastic and the mini croissants were UNREAL! I wanted to take the whole basket under my coat as we left!

The Brunch was really medoicre , frozen hashbrowns/ frozen fries... not at the level. It was clear something was off. They did discount our food ( 37pp) as the brunch was originally $60pp However, it was still disappointing I can make McCain fries at home. I can make scrambled eggs at home and bacon at home. It was very basic. I expected a chef created meal I would not go there again, and I am extremely disappointed because I've eaten here in the past and had a very different experience. The staff did their very best.and are not to blame at all
