We had oxtail for the first time and it blew our minds - extremely tender and fell off the bone after 6 hours of cooking. The spices were delicious, spicy and flavourful. Best jollof rice I’ve had in Calgary!

Writing this review from the jerk chicken I got around a month ago from a market.
I got the jerk chicken drumsticks. While the taste and the spice(5stars for spice) was there, the chicken was unfortunately very dry. Would love to try again next time. Hopefully it’s not dry.

came in today to try the egusi soup with the pounded yam because i’ve had so some people recommend this place. the service was okay, not very welcoming.
the food was salty and not enjoyable, the meat in the soup was hard as a rock and whiling waiting for my food to be prepared and packed i noticed a fly on one of thr puff pastry’s…
i only got one thing but it ended up being 31.50, that’s incredibly pricy for the potion i got.
i won’t be returning, i rather eat food off the ground. these 5 star reviews are most definitely from family and friends. incredibly disappointing!

This was an absolutely delicious impulse stop. Worth driving to check it out …!!! Authentic flavours, the woman cooking was delightfully friendly, everything seemed homemade & fresh. The fried plantains were exceptional as well as everything else !! We will be telling our friends, in the meantime, get down here and eat some delicious jerk chicken. The goat and chicken curries were also yummy.

Went here last week to get some jerk oxtail platter. Probably the best jerk, plantain and beans and rice we've ever tasted in the city. We'll definitely come back everytime we go to Crossroads market. Service is impeccable, we feel like we're visiting our mom's kitchen - friendly, welcoming and cheerful! Definitely made our day!
