This is a must try place for those who love Caribbean food. I had the jollof rice with curried goat and plantains, yum! Their food goes from mild to spicy so feel free to ask these wonderful women for recommendations.

The lady was nice but the food was not that great and it was overly priced . I won't recommend it nor will I go back again. The jerk chicken was salty and stale simply the flavor was not there.

It was a terrible food experience meets bad attitude from the lady there which I won’t want to believe is the owner. We ordered Amala and ofada rice sauce, the sauce tasted like it’s been in the fridge for weeks and the gbegiri and ewedu should never have been served to a customer. In total I paid C$77 and the food was almost not edible. I told the lady when all she was concerned about was me paying that she couldn’t even ask how was the food being a first time customer and there was nothing she didn’t call me. I will never visit again and will never recommend even to my worst enemy. It’s ok for you to deny and lie, check all the places I’ve been to as a restaurant and read all my reviews, your restaurant is actually the first I will visit that I’ve given 1 star cos the food was bad and I had to go to another restaurant that same day to eat Amala 360 grill and lounge and the food was fantastic. Take your time to see the review I gave them in my profile. Oh and I’m not a food critic, I was in Calgary for tourism, I live in Edmonton so get your facts right.

Tucked away between several other establishments, one might miss this absolute gem if they weren't looking for it.

Driving through a heavy rainstorm to this establishment was absolutely worth it and I would do it again.

After trying some of their wonderful food at the Crossroads market, I was informed that Yenny Delights had a separate restaurant else where in the city and had to see it for myself.

Needless to say, it was well worth the drive. The staff was not only helpful but wonderful to talk to, and the food speaks for itself.

After ordering large servings of two different kinds of rice, fried plantain, jerk chicken, and several of their meat patties, I can see why this place has been recommended to me several times.

The Jerk Chicken literally slid off the bone at the slightest glance and was some of the most flavourful chicken I'd ever had.
Both the Coconut and Jollof rice dishes made for perfect flavorful companions to the chicken, and the plantains were cooked to perfection with a wonderful sweetness and texture.

But the real reason I came in that day was for the beef patties and let me tell you, some of the best patties I ever had. These delicious little pockets come bursting with wonderful beef and spice flavors all wrapped in a savory pastry. I was then told that these patties were made fresh by hand daily. My regret is that I didn't order more.

All in all, Yenny Delights has become one of my favorite small restaurants in town. The friendly staff and the delicious food are worth the visit. I heartily recommend this establishment to anybody who loves flavourful Afro Caribbean food and will be introducing my own friends and family to this place.

Yenny Delights is a must try. And the food alone deserves a 5 star rating!

I picked up 2 beef patties and 2 puff pastry beef and sausage rolls yesterday for takeout and just heated them up in the air fryer at home when my partner got off work. It was absolutely phenomenal!! There's sooooo much flavour packed into those delicious little things. My soul was warmed inside and out. I initially was only going to get produce at the farmers market but this booth smelled so incredible that I had no choice but to double back when I was done. No regrets!!! Definitely going to come back to try the oxtail stew and the plantains.

I had the Joloff rice with stewed beef and plantains. The flavour of both was incredible, reminding me of tastes and scents from my native home of Zimbabwe. The ambiance is quaint and inviting, and the wall of smell that his your nose when you walk in, immediately made me hungry. I'm already considering what a catering situation would look like
