Dined at YYC Pasta this evening and they were very accommodating for a group of 10, including 4 kids. Appreciated that there was a kids menu and all the food was super yummy - kids spaghetti, kids penne, lamb and pesto risotto and chicken alfredo with arugula.
The service was lacking tonight though. Our drinks came out two at a time, with the adult beverages taking almost 20 minutes. We also found the wine by the glass extremely expensive. Food took a bit longer than expected to arrive, though the restaurant did get busier after we were seated. We then sat waiting to request the bill for another 15 minutes. One major misstep was the stained table clothes. We get the red and white checkered table clothes giving an Italian vibe but to have stains all over them that resemble mold was definitely not a good look.

Loved this place! I had originally planned to visit their downtown location but was happy to discover this one instead—it meant we didn’t have to fight the downtown crowds. Parking (paid) was super easy, just around the back.
Prices were great, and the food was fresh and delicious. The staff seemed a little preoccupied with a rush of takeout orders, so a couple of small things were missed at our table, but overall I left very happy.
Bonus points: it’s kid-friendly!

The pasta bar is by far my favourite restaurant!! Everything is made to perfection especially the ceasar salad. I continue to dine there and get amazing service every time! My mouth waters every time I see our dishes come out, and the atmosphere makes it truly feel authentic. 1000% recommend . Ps. The prices are really reasonable

Yyc Pasta bar is the most delicious restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’ve been there multiple times and it’s very affordable! The service is lovely everytime we go there. The Caesar salad is divine and affordable (especially during happy hour), I have to fight not to slap my hands on the table. A truly wonderful restaraunt. Keep up the good work.

My best friend and I went to YYC Pasta Bar for a dinner hangout, and it turned out to be such a great experience. I had been craving pasta all day, and this place really delivered. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was relaxed, the staff were friendly, and everything felt comfortable and easy!!
To start, I ordered the truffle fries with garlic Parmesan aioli. The fries were simple, not too fancy, but honestly super good and just perfect. They were hot, crispy, and the aioli had a nice garlic and cheesy flavour that went so well with the truffle 😋
For my main, I chose the truffle cream cheese ravioli because I wanted to stick with the truffle theme. The portion was huge for me and I was surprised at how filling it was. The ravioli was soft and stuffed with creamy cheese, and the sauce had just the right amount of truffle flavour. It was rich, tasty, and very satisfying. As someone who loves pasta, this dish made me really happy. Every bite was comforting and full of flavour 😩
My best friend got the spaghetti frutti di mare and a side of bread. She really enjoyed her meal and said everything tasted amazing. We both were very satisfied with our food and kept talking about how good everything was 🙌🏼

The restaurant itself has a chill and cozy vibe. It is not too loud or busy, which made it a great place to catch up and enjoy dinner. We felt comfortable the whole time and did not feel rushed at all.
By the end of the meal, I was super full and completely satisfied. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was really nice! If you are in Calgary and craving a good pasta meal, I definitely recommend checking out YYC Pasta Bar. Whether you want something creamy and rich like the ravioli or something fresh like the seafood pasta, they have great options.
I left feeling happy and extremely full!! For me, it was a solid ten out of ten experience, yay! 🎉

This is a great little neighborhood Italian restaurant. The value for money is very good compared to many other restaurants. The focaccia is great! Our pastas were delicious (truffle mushroom ravioli and lobster in rose sauce). The food is simple and flavorful. I also really appreciated that the music was at a reasonable level. We are happy to have a restaurant like this in Kensington.

Genuinely a Calgary pasta staple ! The food was so good!! We came when there was no one so we had the entire restaurant to ourselves, and the ambience was very nice and cute :) Our server was also very sweet and kept checking up on us ! My favourite was the arancini and the risotto (which I always get) and today we tried the lasagna and it did not disappoint (had to get it for takeout though cause we over-ordered lol)
