This is hands down the filthiest place I’ve seen in Canmore. If the front entrance is filthy, you can only imagine what the kitchen and other unseen areas look like.
This place shouldn't be allowed to operate in its current condition. I’m genuinely shocked that Alberta Health has let it slide. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.

Clean and efficient service, but it is expensive, because it is in Banff, and there is little seating. They do have some outdoor tables which is nice, and parking is no problem.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but my experience at this A&W was disappointing enough to speak up. The place was dirty tables were sticky, the floors hadn’t been cleaned, and there were fingerprints and smudges all over the windows and railings, which made the whole place feel neglected.
The bathroom was gross—not just untidy, but clearly not maintained properly. It made me question the hygiene standards overall.
I ordered a Mama Burger, and it didn’t even taste like one. The way it was dressed with the toppings was lazy and careless, like they threw it together without a second thought. No flavor, no quality.
On top of that, the staff weren’t friendly at all no hello, no smile, just a cold attitude that made the visit even worse.
Definitely not the A&W experience I expect, and I won’t be coming back to this location.

When we were in Canmore for a wedding we need to stop for quick bite eat. These guys were fast and the food was hot.

The food was OK, I had a classic bacon, eggs and toast, they were good, quite filling. However, the hot chocolate milk did not quite have enough chocolate flavor and tasted essentially like milk with the tiniest bit of chocolate flavor. The restaurant was mostly clean.

For starters the guy working on night shift (Sikh) messed up my order when I asked for no bacon my burger and after sitting down to eat could here him crib all night! Had the audacity at 11.40 to tell me the dine in closes at 11.50 when the place is open till 12!! Can’t help but complain about the poor service by the gentleman who has absolute no sense of hospitality
No ice cream at an A&W? That is sacrilege.
