“I had the best dinner of our trip through the Rockies. We had the chef’s 6 course menu. We don’t drink, so couldn't speak to the pairing experience, but the food wow. It was our first time having pheasant and it left a mark on our hearts, the crunchy skin with perfectly cooked meat juicy and flavorful. The bison was so tender and flavorful. The highlight besides the pheasant were the sauces, they played a lot with mushroom sauces which we loved. We payed 180 per person. The service was nothing short of amazing, they answered all the questions we had and the pace was perfect. They told us the tasting menu was pretty new, and we can’t wait to be back to taste future creations. Thank you to the whole team that make this experience possible.

“Wonderful hidden gem! We hiked the Grotto and came here. We had salads, pasta, flatbread and loved everything. Service was great and in October at 2pm we walked in and found a table for 7 easily. Don't come to the Canmore area without coming here!”

“My friend and I tried this Filipino-fusion restaurant recently and had a really great time. The food was delicious and the drinks were surprisingly good too. Everything we ordered had great flavor, and the prices were actually pretty reasonable for the quality. The staff were all very friendly, and our server in particular was SUPER accommodating and really entertaining, which made the whole experience even better. Shoutout to her—I believe her name is Randi, the best server in town. 😎”

“The Mediterranean hi Ken was really good with tomatoes, spinach and goat cheese. It doesn’t come with and any carbs so if you’re hungry you’ll want a side. My dinner partners had fish and c sweet potato fries and the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. We all ate everything on our plates and were too full for dessert can’t comment on wine or drink menu as no one had any. Beautiful view of Three Sisters.”

It was a little bit upsetting to see 2 tables come up after us and we're approached by a waiter or waitress as we sat waiting. When we did get served no recommendations were suggested, Food came hot and delicious. Worth the cost. No one left hungry.
The waitress did not check on us often. We could have had another drink. Mind you we were not drinking alcohol, so maybe figured we did not.
If you have a wheelchair or walker they have a elevator. But moving around a bit tight between tables.
What a veiw upstairs though.”

“We had a Monday night dinner special of Chateaubriand, it was amazing! The soup and salad to start were very flavorful, then the main dish, perfect cut of meat with a beautiful mix of vegetables and potatoe! At the end we had an incredible fresh baked chocolate chip cookie topped with salted caramel, ice cream and berries! We highly recommend this dinner and our server, Jess, was excellent! Thanks for a great night!!!”

Didn’t scrimp on the fries. Best A&W I had in a long time. Other establishments should take note and sales would be higher. “What a wonderful and amazing place! I am celiac so the thought of a whole restaurant being gluten free was absolutely incredible. I indulged and ate foods I normally can’t eat like ginger beef and certain sushi rolls. The presentation was absolutely beautiful and I loved how the owner personally delivered our food items to our table. Every bite was incredible, and I savoured every minute. Among the chatter of other diners every guest said how good their food was! We had the most lovely server Uka and she recommended a great wine to pair with dinner. What a gem of a place with incredible service! Will definitely be back!”

They did charge me $1 for water in a plastic cup, which I wasn’t thrilled about since I was already buying something else, but the employee did inform me she’d have to charge me before I paid. Definitely a must try coffee shop if you’re staying in Canmore, especially if you like PSLs!”

“We visited CG March 14,2022 for a well deserved Margarita/Tacos after a long day in Johnston Canyon. My wife loved the Peach Pit margarita, very tasty and I had a Hot Tamale’ margarita shaken. The pick three tacos are a great addition too being able to try any flavor of taco you prefer. The fish tacos are by far the best. Definitely recommend the salted caramel cheesecake for your sweet tooth. Friendly, helpful staff. If your craving Mexican flavors definitely check out Cabeza-Grande. Thanks for the experience.”

“We ordered (ahead of time) some Sri Lankan short-eats and Lamprais from Nalaka and crew at Canmore Shawarma while visiting Banff in July 2024. The food was delicious 👌🏼👌🏼 The rolls had the same Sri Lankan goodness to them. 🤤 The Lamprais was out of this world. 🤩 Everything was made fresh and packed for us. Exceptional customer service by the staff as well. They went above and beyond to accommodate our request to pick up the Lamprais early in the morning on our way, even before the restaurant opened. Nalaka was very responsive on text messages and placing the orders and picking up was a breeze. We will be returning for sure and this will be a regular spot for food everytime we visit Alberta. 😊👍🏻”

“I visited in September during my trip to Banff and Canmore. It’s been about a month, but the experience has stayed with me, so I wanted to share my honest thoughts.

I really loved the meat and sausages here. The quality was excellent, and everything felt like great value for money. I wish I could have brought more home.

Unfortunately, the service was disappointing on both visits. I was served by the same staff member
, both times.

On my first visit, I bought over $200 worth of products. After scanning everything, she told me the register wasn’t ready, so nothing had gone through and every item had to be scanned again. With that many items, the whole process felt frustrating and stressful. Mistakes happen, and I would have understood, but the dismissive way she said “my bad” made it more frustrating.

On my second visit, I ordered a sandwich for lunch. I was waiting for her to ask which vegetables and sauce I wanted, but she turned away and made it without asking me. I didn’t even realize she was making my sandwich, so I just stood there waiting. My latte was also cold—the milk was completely cold.

She didn’t smile, and her manner felt rude and unwelcoming to me. I ended up with a cold latte and a sandwich with no sauce, feeling really uncomfortable with the whole experience.

This is simply my personal experience.”

“Asian fusion food (Korean, Japanese, Chinese , Vietnamese, etc.) in downtown Canmore, Alberta, Canada. They opened later than most of the surrounding restaurants (closed at 10pm, while others closed at 9 pm). The place was very small, hence, very crowded, noise level was high but could still have conversation. The wait was long in getting a table. Menus were printed really large (wall size) and posted on the inside wall so people can select their dish before ordering at the counter. I chose Taiwanese Braised Pork Belly Noodles. Service was good, waiters were friendly. I felt satisfied leaving the restaurant after dinner.”

“This is an exceptional Subway Restaurant. This is a busy area and the only Subway for miles. I watched the three employees work as a team to keep the sandwiches flowing and customers happy. Most chains have a lunch rush this place has a day rush and the staff are friendly and professional and calm under pressure.”

“The food was good, but unfortunately, the customer service at this location was extremely disappointing.

I was dining in with my family of 10 while we were on our way to Kananaskis, and we decided to stop here for a quick meal. Since everyone had different sandwiches, I asked if the sandwiches could be wrapped individually so we could easily identify and manage everyone’s order.

The employee told me that because we were dining in, they do not wrap the sandwiches. Instead, he placed my sandwich directly on a green plastic tray without any parchment paper and said this was Subway standard and that the trays were clean.

I politely explained that I personally did not want my food placed directly on a plastic tray and would prefer parchment paper between the food and the tray. Instead of trying to accommodate the request or explain the policy respectfully, the employee responded, “You’re questioning my authority.”

That response was completely unnecessary and made the experience very uncomfortable for me and my family. What was even more disappointing was the lack of communication, willingness to help, and accountability when I raised my concern.

We were simply trying to have a quick and pleasant family meal during our road trip. The food itself was good, but the customer service made the experience unpleasant.

If you’re travelling through the area on your way to Kananaskis, I would personally recommend choosing another Subway location. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this location to anyone.”

Freshii offers a convenient, wholesome choice that feels as healthy as possible. I doubt buying ingredients from a local supermarket would cost less; the pricing here seemed fair. “Honey, I shrunk the Boston Brute. Shouldn't there be a standard across the BP chain for serving sizes? I ordered a Boston Brute and it looked 1/2 size of one I had in Edmonton 1 week prior. Maybe that is a slight exaggeration but it was very noticeable. Service and food was great, and it was kids free month which was nice, but the $4 pop negated some of that, I guess prices are going up everywhere.”
