Subway in Canmore

“The food was good, but unfortunately, the customer service at this location was extremely disappointing.

I was dining in with my family of 10 while we were on our way to Kananaskis, and we decided to stop here for a quick meal. Since everyone had different sandwiches, I asked if the sandwiches could be wrapped individually so we could easily identify and manage everyone’s order.

The employee told me that because we were dining in, they do not wrap the sandwiches. Instead, he placed my sandwich directly on a green plastic tray without any parchment paper and said this was Subway standard and that the trays were clean.

I politely explained that I personally did not want my food placed directly on a plastic tray and would prefer parchment paper between the food and the tray. Instead of trying to accommodate the request or explain the policy respectfully, the employee responded, “You’re questioning my authority.”

That response was completely unnecessary and made the experience very uncomfortable for me and my family. What was even more disappointing was the lack of communication, willingness to help, and accountability when I raised my concern.

We were simply trying to have a quick and pleasant family meal during our road trip. The food itself was good, but the customer service made the experience unpleasant.

If you’re travelling through the area on your way to Kananaskis, I would personally recommend choosing another Subway location. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this location to anyone.“

“This is an exceptional Subway Restaurant. This is a busy area and the only Subway for miles. I watched the three employees work as a team to keep the sandwiches flowing and customers happy. Most chains have a lunch rush this place has a day rush and the staff are friendly and professional and calm under pressure.“
