We booked this restaurant last minute for a date night, and I’m so glad we did. It was incredible. Paisley at the bar and all the staff were exceptional in explaining everything, making suggestions and ensuring we had a great time. The foie is TO DIE FOR. Every dish was so delicious and so interesting!! We hope to come back for an “encore” soon!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary. The restaurant was clean and very nice. They had plants on the wall, which I absolutely loved.

The food was sublime, we ordered the six course meal. They severed us a variety of dishes that were on and off the menu. My husband even did the wine tasting and they even paired the dishes with the wine. Needless to say the food and drinks were delicious and went fabulously together. When my husband and I left we left full, not stuffed but very happy and content with our meal.

The staff were very knowledgeable about everything they served and were very polite and friendly. Also I was very pleased how they asked everyone about any food allergies and presences. I am very pleased to see this occur. 👍 The staff had even been so kind as to give us a card of congratulations for our anniversary. It was a surprise and absolutely lovely.

That was the best food I have ever had in my life. They were very welcoming and accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing. I can't wrap my head around how they managed to cram so much flavor into each bite but also not overwhelm you at the same time. Their appetizers, the amazing main course, the wine, and the desert were fantastic. I cannot recommend them enough. If you are in Canmore you NEED to eat here.

If you have the bread appetizer, you have to remove butter and honey. The celeriac requires removal of shrimp and the cauliflower main is $38 with little protein. They also have foie gras on the menu.

It has been a long time I had a dinner that is so delicious for every single course. Their tasting menu was a 6 course menu at a reasonable price $120. But I know what I want. So me and my husband each ordered different dishes 3 courses menu, we still have 6 courses but a lower price.
Service was good but would be great if we got a standard seat instead of a high chair seat.

Dining in Ankor was the highlight of our time in Canmore (okay, aside from the views!). The atmosphere was so cozy and the service was incredible (thanks Julie!). We did the tasting menu and couldn't stop talking about it for days. We really appreciated the curated mocktail selection. The dishes were so creative and the presentation spectacular - true pieces of art! Easily one of the most memorable dining experiences. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Amazing experience at ankor! Impeccable service by Josh, Paisley and the whole ankor team. We enjoyed the chefs tasting menu and wine pairing, which was the perfect choice to celebrate a birthday. Come for a drink and a bite or stay for hours and enjoy everything this restaurant has to offer. We dine out a lot and do not give out reviews easily, but I had to this time. Hopefully we will get a chance to come back soon 😊

Outstanding experience! We had a very memorable experience here, we chose the chefs tasting menu. Everything was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Our server/hostess was so fun and knowledgeable and enhanced our experience!

Amuse bouche - flavour bomb of duck on a tiny doughnut

Salmon - very light with pickled fennel….very nordic very tasty, forgot the picture!

Veal tartare - I love beef tartare and this was a delicate and light version with a to die for cheese foam.

Foie gras - I could eat this all day, just go try it.

Pork and scallop - best porkbelly I’ve ever had, scallop cooked perfectly!

Duck - omg, star of the show! Beautiful beet accompaniments, breast cooked perfectly, confit so tender!

Coffee and apple dessert - we chose one of each to enjoy. Both were light and the apple comes with a tiny scoop of butterscotch ice cream which was amazing!

Everything was so expertly prepared, perfectly paced and absolutely divine, we can’t wait to come back! Cheers to the team at Ankor🥂
