Amazing lunch spot. Had the spicy tuna and teriyaki chicken onigiri lunch special with a cup of delicious miso soup. We also ordered the takoyaki and taiyaki. So glad we did, some of the best food we have ever found.

Walked in, asked the worker how many pieces come in an order of sashimi since the menu outside didn’t specify # of pieces. He said two so I was deciding how many orders of salmon and spicy red tuna I wanted to order for my fiancé and I. After not even 30 seconds to decide to order 3 orders of each and telling the worker my order, the worker says very rudely “the menu is right in front of you, why are you taking so long to try to remember your order?” First of all he had the menu on the counter covered with a keyboard and secondly I was not trying to spend over $50 on sashimi (which I am glad I didn’t). I thought about walking out because the dude didn’t deserve my business but I knew my fiancé wanted sashimi so I still ordered. I told my fiancé what happened while waiting for the food and he said he would’ve walked out and told me next time I should. Food took over 20 minutes which is ridiculous because it’s sashimi but it’s because he was using the microwave to defrost it. I sent my fiancé in because I was so mad at the interaction I had with the worker and the worker was way more pleasant to him than he was to me. He told him to wait for the red tuna to defrost more before he eats it. Both my fiancé and I have worked/are in the hospitality industry and never in my life have I had someone speak to me so rudely as a customer so I was really taken back.
I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Lots of love put into the meals. Was only one older gentleman taking orders and preparing the food but he did a great job. Definitely coming back the next time i’m in Canmore.

I went here for the first time. Luckily I was able to come in today, because last time it was closed. And it is hard to find bubble tea anywhere else in Canmore.
The man at the front was super friendly and patient. We ordered the Thai and matcha bubble tea which tastes really good. Matcha was perfect sweetness, and the Thai bubble tea was more on the sweeter side if you prefer a higher sugar level.
They also have it set up as a convenience store with Japanese/Asian products, which was nice to see in the Canmore area.
I will be back here again, exceptional service and cute, inviting atmosphere.

Got a quick afternoon snack at Okawari and was pleasantly surprised! The onigiris were tasty and fresh, and miso soup warmed our soul on a cold day. Takoyakis were tasty and hit the spot. They had limited selection of onigiris by the time we got there at 2:00pm which was unfortunate, but fair.
They had very reasonably priced lunch combos. The owner was very pleasant, and passionate about his shop.
Very limited seating, 3 bar stools. So this is more of a take out spot.
We plan to be back to try out their rolls, and other flavours of onigiris.
Great selection of candy and other Japanese confectionery.
